Tradition dictates that when you are walking out the door as a performer you put someone over on your way out. The infamous montral screwjob happened for a variety of reasons but the basic thing it came down to was Bret losing on his way out. You have an example of like a Ric Flair losing to Perfect or Jeff Jarrett dropping the belt to Chyna(After he got his money from Vince). Hell, even AJ lost for Magnus after a bunch of Dixie bullshit.
Who are more well known people who left a company without losing to give someone that rub on their way out. You have some weird circumstances like Goldberg and Lesnar where both was leaving the company but in a sense you can consider Lesnar putting over Eddie the month before as his losing match.
Would you rather see someone lose on their way out or it doesn't really matter to u?

I think that you should leave on your back. Put somebody over.

This is the first thing I thought of seeing the title and since he "wrestled" once or twice it may count:

The one off the top of my head is Ric Flair leaving WCW in 91 while still champion. It was a lot of disagreement between Ric and Jim Herd who was WCW President at the time. Wanted to change everything that made Ric who he is. Ric not wanting to dump the Nature Boy character which why would he when he was still the man and that what made him the man. It got to the point WCW didn't want Flair at the next PPV but Flair own the "Big Goal" belt so he took it with him to WCW.
Another one I can think of Piper leaving WWE for movies and WCW. Beat Adrian Adonis in his "retirement match". Did put over Bret in 92. Cameback for one match in 94 where he beat Lawler and in 96 Even though he wasn't a full time wrestler but his last appearance was against Goldust where he won.

Nakamura didn't just leave NJPW not going out on his back, he flat out didn't even bother to put someone over for The IC Title. Instead they vacated it for him which is a bunch of bullshit

He basically announced he was done about two or three days before Wrestlemania

Oh! When Bryan left PWG before getting signed by PWG, he didn't just not go out on his back, he won the world title.

She was told to be eliminated in the first minute of it, so she decided to go and eliminate herself when it started over how she had been treated.

She was told to get eliminated in the first one minute or so and instead decided to go under the rope to show her unhappiness. Edit: just realized Chrom answered it.

Didn't she go there like Christian did to get finically secure. Plus this was at the low point of women in WWE wrestling.

Kelly Kelly is always the first that comes to mind for these. One of the most popular women of her era (let's not revise history, she was ridiculously over) was just inexplicably off TV for a while, came back to get a small amount of wins (maybe just one?) then was off TV again before being quietly released. To be fair, because of the very specific storylines that those '94 and '96 matches dictated, Piper kind of had to win those. He left putting over Bret huge, but as a special attraction in '94 and '96, taking a loss in either of those for such clearly one-off occurrences would have made his showing-up a whole lot worse.
