I’m babysitting my nephew tonight who’s almost 6 as he tells me so I picked up the new Yoshi I checked to make sure there wasn’t any updates(there wasn’t)so he can play when he gets here I tried out the 1st level and this game is painfully cute. I played the demo, and absolutely loved it. Would really like to get it at some point, but it’s not a priority at the moment. We had a ton of fun last night with it and most of that came from my nephew’s sense of wonder his mom doesn’t allow videogames in her house she thinks he’s too young for that so when he gets to play he’s super excited his favorite part was at the beginning where you pick your yoshi and all the other yoshi’s clap and cheer you on he wanted to keep doing that. There’s alot of clever level design and some nice variety seeing some trailer I thought it looked pretty cool and I’d probably pick it up down the line but no rush but once he told me he wanted to play it and I decided to get it and I’m glad I did its a very chill game which is a nice change of pace from the games I usually play.

So has Lost Levels just become an adopted NES game at this point?

So has Lost Levels just become an adopted NES game at this point? Pretty much. It’s just a straight port of the Japanese version, under the Lost Levels name. Been a while since I played it, but I don’t even think it’s translated on Virtual Console

I could definitely remember the title being in English, couldn’t remember about anything else in it.

So...um...this is wild. Thanks to Best Buy’s employee system, we’ve kinda had an impromptu Best Buy-sponsored Nintendo Direct tonight because at least 3 new Switch releases have been found in the system. Those games are: {Spoiler} - Persona 5(no word on if it is just base game or the Royal) - Metroid Prime Trilogy - The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past(note, this is not a mix up with the Link’s Awakening remake, that has its own separate listing within their system)

Second one for me too. Be nice to play a non-motion control version, and never owned the originals.

Definitely I played it for a few hours last night in Performance 720/60 mode it played beautifully no hiccups I’m not usually that big a stickler for FPS you can really tell the difference 60 compared to 30 and its not that big of a graphical hit to get the smoother gameplay.Seeing I had never played it before I’m really enjoying it I don’t know how someone that’s played it before will feel.
