Don't worry they'll be a few of those articles popping up in like 3 months... just like X movie is totally going to be the first Marvel Failure. But will they become exclusively a third party/develop only for mobile? We need like 6 threads, bi monthly, to decide.

Nintendo: Doomed since 1995 Right on the money. Doom was released on the SNES in Sept of 1995 if I remember correctly

So, did IS secretly cancel the Fire Emblem Switch game? It's been over a year since they've announced it with not one single mention of it since then. I mean, what the f***?

Eh no doubt we'll get more word on it at E3 at the latest with a date for later in the year. I don't think Nintendo does the Square Enix FF7 remake/KH3 song and dance.

I’m pretty confident there’ll be Fire Emblem news and a release date for this year. I think they only announced it and others like Metroid and Pokemon so soon to give people faith it wouldn’t be another Wii U situation where the console ends up abandoned. Otherwise I don’t think they would’ve been no announced until closer to their release as is Nintendo’s usual MO.

Nintendo don’t usually talk further about stuff without having more to show a few months after announcing something so there’s either going to be a random Direct about it or, more likely, E3.

So I made a thread a few days ago about the Switch but it didn’t catch on with anyone so I figure I’d ask in here. Is it worth getting a Switch at the moment or anytime soon? It seems a lot of the games are being ported which I don’t have much interest in, but are there any big exclusives coming out this year? And with Switch Online coming in September, what are the odds of them adding achievements to games? I have an Xbox One & I feel at this point I can’t go back to a console that has no sort of achievement system. It makes me get more out of some games than they normally would if there’s things to achieve in them. I guess since I’m used to having them now it would feel empty without having them. Outside of Zelda, Mario Odyssey & Mario Kart I don’t know which games I’d currently want.

Whether or not to buy a Switch IMHO really comes down to how you feel about Nintendo's big properties and indie games. Portability is really nice, being able to move with the switch from my living room to the bedroom. So far, I'm getting a lot of mileage out of Super Mario Odyssey and Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The Switch is actually getting a number of ported titles from the Wii U if you did not own that console, so stuff like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Bayonetta 1 & 2 (out next Friday), Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze, and Hyrule Warriors is filling out the more drought months while new titles are being produced. I don't think an achievement system is getting implemented.

I find it amazing they still continue with this version of a Rewards program. The last one at least I bothered to get the VC games they rotated in and out and the physical rewards were something at least. Now feh who cares.

Look at what finally came in the mail, and without paying double to some scumbag on eBay. Nice! I actually found the original NES Classic for retail price on OfferUp. I met the dude at like 10 at night because I couldn't miss the opportunity

The current version is just awful compared to the old rewards program. I have a tonne of shit I got from the old one, don't even check My Nintendo anymore.
