Sounds like the police kept this from being a lot worse. Reports that the attackers had AK-47s, and detonated early once the police engaged in gunfire.

Getting real sick of your shit Isis. I wouldn't be so quick to give those shitheads credit, it might be a group of Kurdish separatists.

Makes no sense for the PKK to do this. This is an international terminal and they have no history of animosity towards anyone else other than Turks. If anything, if it weren't for western powers, the Kurds would be extinct due to both Turkey and ISIS. Plus, the way it was organized sounds a lot like the way the Paris attacks were carried out.
That said, it wouldn't surprise me if Turkey blames the Kurds anyway since they've all but helped ISIS kill Kurds in Iraq and Syria, while paying lip service to combating ISIS themselves.

Doesn't matter if ISIS was involved or not, the chuckleheads will get their PR wing right on taking credit like they always do. All that remains to be seen us if they go full Al Qaeda and make any major hurricanes that hit the US honorary ISIS members like Al Qaeda did Katrina.

My first thought was the Kurds, but hitting the international terminal certainly does not sound like their style. Fairly certain that you are right about one thing, though. Even if Daesh released a video of them actually carrying out the attack, Turkey will blame the Kurds and use it as justification to commit some new action against them.

On the positive side, there are now 3 less idiots in the world (and 4 if you count the gunman in Denver)

On the positive side, there are now 3 less idiots in the world (and 4 if you count the gunman in Denver) That would only be a positive if they exploded BEFORE they got there. 50 innocents dead kinda makes it a moot point.

Turkey is the one place where if ISIS commits attacks, they don't like to claim responsibility. Mainly because Turkey is one of their best sources for foreign fighters coming to Syria.

Sadly Turkey is a prime target for terrorists. They have suffered a lot of attacks already and I'm afraid it's going to get worse before it gets better.
And the saddest part is that their government would rather waste funds and resources persecuting Kurdish people than fight the actual terrorists, so supporting them financially would only make things worse.
Anyway, may the victims rest in peace and their families and friends recover quickly from the shock.

One especially messed up aspect of this attack that people pointed out is that it is currently Ramadan, an especially important period for Muslims, so you'd think Isis, being Muslims themselves, would at least respect that but nope. It really goes to show how little they actually care about Islam and only use it as an excuse, while moderate Muslims who actually follow their religion's principle suffer because of them.
And that's an especially important thing to remember about Islamist terrorism: as bas as things may be for non-Muslims, the major target and those who suffer the most from it, are other Muslims as nothing threatens Isis more than people who follow their faith while also respecting other people's and living in peace with them.
