Jewel for sure, she was like folky before, but then did this as ....a parody sorta or pop music, but ended up being her biggest hit lol. She didn't do a full time change of image though. I'm not entirely sure this would count On the other hand, Gwen Stefani has been doing this non-parodically since her solo career began. Her No Doubt stuff had a distinct sound and yes I did like a lot of it. Now it's just the same old pop princess/trying to stand between the line of pop and rap that everyone does.

Really, no mention of Metallica? FAN, I'm disappointed in each and every one of you. Metallica sold out. In 2008. 'We have lost millions of fans and all of our acclaim by trying to push our artistic boundaries into styles we hadn't tried... Guess I will just rewrite Fade To Black again so we can make more money and pretend that 15 years of our career never happened.'

John Lydon Anti-establishment punk.....endorsing butter. To be fair, he literally only did that to get the money to get Public Image Ltd. back together. #1 in my opinion.... Ice Cube Gangsta rap made him do it. Also, Moby licensing an entire album, which ended up becoming his biggest commercial hit... because you heard all the songs every-ing-where.

Really, no mention of Metallica? FAN, I'm disappointed in each and every one of you. Man, I remember when Load came out and everyone lost their minds. God forbid Metallica get haircuts and decide they didn't want want to become what Slayer and Megadeth eventually became. Then there was the Napster thing. Dear god, the Napster thing... I always thought that people were being unbelievably unfair regarding the Napster thing. Think about it for a minute. Who supported Napster? Mainly new artists like Eminem and Limp Bizkit. Who opposed Napster? Established acts like Metallica and Dr. Dre. Now, why would new artists not mind you costing them money by illegally downloading their music while the established acts did? The answer is pretty simple. You did not cost new artists a damned dime by stealing their music. Most artists never see any money from their record sales because the music industry is shady as hell. Between unfair contracts, creative bookkeeping, and outright fraud, even most highly successful acts never get any royalty checks. If you steal their music, it costs them nothing and might help them earn money the only way they get to, by helping drive up the interest in their touring schedule. It also screws over the company screwing them over. Under those circumstances, I would actually want you to steal my music too. What about Metallica and Dr. Dre? Those two established acts were the most vocal anti-Napster acts and I don't blame them at all. They fought, scraped, and eventually managed to bully their record labels to give them fair deals. That meant that their hard fought battle with the record company finally meant that they were being treated with respect and not getting screwed over by their label. Next thing you know, a bunch of entitled little shits start screwing you over instead and get super hateful towards you for not liking them stealing from you.

Real talk I didn't even know who Gwen Stefani was until Eve's "Let Me Blow Your Mind" hit the radio. "Underneath it All" was the only No Doubt song I ever heard and I never heard their previous work until the 2010s.

I'm impressed you managed go that long. I don't exactly hate "this Gwen" so much, but it's worth noting her hypocrisy

I never heard Spiderwebs until seeing my uncle play it on Guitar Hero World Tour. And I only know of Don't Speak and Just a Girl because get regular rotation in my local supermarket; and I had no idea those songs were THAT old

Manowar's fighting the world.
While I do actually like it, Its hard to not laugh at a band who spent the previous four albums going on about death to false metal and never selling out. Only to then make an overproduced watered down sellout album immediately after signing to a major label.
