Which television character do you feel left the biggest void behind when the actor quit the show?
I haven't seen the first Stargate season without Richard Dean Anderson yet but it can't possibly be the same with Col. O'Neill gone.
I know Dallas was never the same when Victoria Principal left.
Cordelia gone from Angel didn't sit well with me.

Phil Hartman not on Talk Radio, or whatever the name of that show was he was on after he died. I don't think Jon Lovitz quite filled that role.

Michael J Fox leaving Spin City. But I really think the show went down hill when Heather Locklear joined the cast.
And of course
Fox Mulder from The X Files. OK Robert Patrick was OK as his replacement. But the X Files was about Mulder.

The show went on well, but I missed Larry Mondellow's character after he left Leave it to Beaver.

Power Rangers, when they got in to the habit of changing the entire cast every season. The fact that no one stuck around long enough to be a likable character is what made me think "i think perhaps i AM to old to be watching power rangers" (prior to that i felt just fine being the only kid in my highschool who still watched it.)

When Topher Grace left That '70s Show. I still don't understand that. The show was BASED around him and his family! Shouldn't the show have ended once he was gone? I say Steve Rhodes from Married with Children. Not that I didn't enjoy Jefferson, (who didn't replace as much as added a character), but Steve was a great stuffy foil for Al.

Oh, snap, yo! Can't believe this wasn't even on my mind. Besides Tommy and Billy from the original cast, they were ALL gone. And it was a sad day for all the younglings across the globe. But it is neat that the Tommy has been various colors of Ranger by the point. And even way back when, when he first debuted, we all pretty much knew from the moment David Jason Frank came on the screen he had 'it'.
