Austalian masked luchador Thunder (also known as Thunderbird) has died, according to CMLL. Thunder had been battling cancer. He had been working in CMLL since 2013. His real name was Luke Fordward, and he was just 34 years old. RIP   |

I had not even heard about the cancer until yesterday on Twitter. This is really sad.

Should had figured with his constant absence with CMLL and his feud with Ultimo Guerrero kept getting pushed back or dropped, something was up. Didn't guess it would had been cancer. Sad that he is dead. Just a couple months ago he was wrestling. Shows how quick and fragile life is. If it wasn't for his father in law, Satanico, asking for prayera for him, I would had known things were grave for him. For those not familiar with Thunder, he was a CMLL mid level wrestler. Truthfully, he was a bad wrestler who got pushed as much as he did because of his size and nepotism. He did not adapt to the lucha style and constantly struggled. Still though, no one deserves to suffer and die from cancer.

There'll be a moment of silence and applause for him tonight at The Gran Prix.
He was rather well liked by many in CMLL and many have paid their respects to him.
