...something WWE can just stop doing forever. A holdover from the Attitude Era that just gets dumber every time they do it.

It makes your show look bad when the boss or a main eventer doesn't bother to show up until like an hour into it.

I'm reminded of a few weeks ago when they had Alberto run in saying he just arrived when you could see him in a crowd shot earlier in the show.

I'm alright with it if it is warranted, but usually, it's a waste of time and obvious padding.
In the immortal words of Jessi from Red Letter Media during a film with grotesque amounts of filler with people in cars, "Can't we just know they drove there?"

I understand it if used for a special surprise guest or return (since they legitimately do the "stay in the limo/bus" routine for those kinds of people anyway), but yeah, I could do without it being used for week-by-week roster people.
If they reserved it for "arriving earlier today" shots on PPVs to build up drama, I think it could still work well. They do it like that for major sporting events or championship games. WWE could use it to the same effect. You see the mindset of a challenger for the WWE title as they arrive at the place where they'll either win it for the first time/regain it, or fall short. Show the champion arriving earlier today to an arena, stepping out of a limo (or other vehicle) and play up that when they live in that ride it might be without their title. There's a lot of ways you can play it up and show some character.
This is still something I believe can be done right if thought out even a little bit. But yeah, the "[day-to-day roster member] shows up halfway through the show" thing is dumb. It's still dumb when they follow it with someone running up delivering news. In this day of cell phones, social media, and so on, along with how attached people are to their phones, it makes no sense for them to just then "get the news" when they leave the vehicle and try to explain it away with a "couldn't contact"/"bad reception"/"don't have their number" line.

Remember when The Rock returned, they had a shot of a limo arriving then it showed a woman's legs, leading us to believe that said person would be the WrestleMania 27 host?
