Game collector MetalJesusRocks recently found one of the rarest Nintendo items in an actual U.S prototype for the N64 Disk Drive. Originally released to Japan, there were plans for an American release, but due to how big a flop it was in Japan, it never saw a U.S release.
I also recommend his videos on hidden gems and collector's guides. He offers a lot of games that wouldn't be looked at by most.

Very interesting. It's amazing how people luck into getting such things like this. I imagine it probably cost him a good chunk of change to get a DD add on but after finding out what it is...it's pretty much priceless. Hopefully he can get what he needs to read that disc some day. Maybe it's the DD version of Mario 64 or something. I wouldn't doubt it if that's what was on it. If the guy at Nintendo was showing this thing off...it would be as good of a guess as any that it's something Mario related. That or Zelda.
