Honestly I think it'd hurt them to change now. TNA and Impact Wrestling have a decade or more of being a big part of the wrestling scene and to drop all of that wouldn't make sense. Yeah I get it is a damaged brand but not every company can do what WWE did, changing your brand name is a hard thing to do.
Now, if TNA was to do a complete reboot, say like WGN was asking with 3 months off and completely new stories, champs, tv graphics, staging and so on, then you might have the right circumstances for a name change.

You can change the name of "dogshit" to "Chocolate", but in the end.... it still stinks

Now? no, there is very little TNA can do now that can fully right the ship.
Had they done it earlier and like went 100% with the impact wrestling rebranding? It definitely would help though it doesn't help all the other problems the company had, but not having people think your talking about Porn would help their word of mouth vastly.

TNA shouldn't change its name because then have to spend money they can't afford to spend on designing a new logo and buying new set pieces and ring dressings with said logo....which is exactly what they did when they rebooted after their hiatus.

TNA cleaning its image to stop being perceived as a joke is madness lol that's not their mindset. They should've done years ago, but idiots like Bob Ryder said that their name is their identity.
Cornette and Hogan both said that everytime they talk to executives or promoters, they giggled when they heard "tna".
It's a shit name for a shit company. Jarrett and Russo thought they were hip and cool for naming the company that way, now one has to sell gold to make ends meet and the other one shitty podcasts

The main point is they should have changed it years ago. Right now it'd be shuffling deck chairs on the Titanic.

It is way too late now. They had two perfect opportunities to change the name to IMPACT. First when they broke from NWA. Second when Hulk Hogan came in and did a partial re-branding by normalizing the ring and making the 'wrestling matters' slogan.4
Changing it now wouldn't help anything and would be a window dressing change that wouldn't change how anyone views the company.

Changing TNA's name now is like feeding a starving dog after it died.

I've seen a lot of things in wrestling that get silently abandoned very quickly, but the rebrand is the first time I think I've seen something almost immediately abandoned but which somehow has stuck around in one form or another since it happened. They were inconsistent about it from pretty much the moment it was announced and never committed to any part of it, but years later, it's still inconsistently floating around. The whole thing just mystifies me because across the board they did every part of that in the dumbest possible way.

It won't make a difference but I'd endorse a name change to Dixieland Semi-Pro Grappling Alternative. It rolls off the tongue.

They should change it to hell, because that's what working for them is like.

Granted, it'd be hard to chant the letters, but you could just call em Goob.
