I was watching a 1998 edition of RAW before Mania and noticed Stone Cold was wearing a fanny pack with his shirt and jeans. Looked odd and out of place for his character plus I remember thinking they were silly around that time period.

I rocked my Game Boy fanny pack carrying case till middle school. Thing held the brick GB and 6 games with ease.

Some time in the mid or late 90's. I'd say 2001 for wrestlers. The end of the Monday Night Wars hurt fanny pack production.

I don't recall them ever being considered cool. At least where I grew up they were never cool. We use to use them to tell who the tourist were in Biloxi.If someone was wearing a fanny pack and/or went out in the nasty water off the coast of Biloxi you knew they were a tourist. The locals know better than to get out in the gulf. |

I was actually looking for one roughly two weeks ago, and couldn't find one offline. I wear tights onstage and needed an easy way to carry my keys/wallet/phone for a show. Ended up using one of my wife's purses. I feel like that ended up being the "cooler" option anyway.
