... totally is for it to be decided in a battle royal or other multi-person match and have Eva Marie fluke her way into winning it then into keeping it for awhile. It'd play so well into the character, serve to make the new title something to fight for due to everyone face and heel alike just wanting to get it off of her no matter what, and make for a big moment when Becky or Bayley or whoever eventually beats her for it.
Plus people would lose their damn minds at the idea of a title's lineage starting with Eva Marie of all people, which is one other reason it should totally be done.

I'm on board with this, and I didn't think I would be. But I remember when Steph was Womens Champ in 2000. She was never booked as a strong champ...she was booked as a woman whose lackeys won her the belt and kept it on her. Lita beating Steph for the title was so cathartic, and Becky or Bayley beating Eva Marie would get a huge pop.

Like I want Eva Marie being the first champion, f*** that.
Nikki Bella can be the first champion as far as I'm concerned. Pick up where she left off.

The Womens and Tag Team titles should just be defended on both shows

I hope Becky Lynch gets a "you deserve it" chants too. For the second made up title.
Too many titles.

If I were Vince and you were a writer proposing this I would use your idea but fire you anyways.

Sure. I wanted Eva to win the title in NXT. We know WWE can book great women's matches and all but I'd love to see Smackdown take a more-story based approach that will ultimately build characters.
Carmella and Alexa aren't great workers. Naomi is solid. Nattie is boring as hell. They won't be competing with Sasha and Charlotte on an in-ring level so let them do something different.

No, having the same main event scene eating up half of both shows every week and having a bunch of simultaneous title feuds or ones that are over in an instant due to there being a PPV every two weeks would be abusrd.

Not the most prestigious title, but yeah Becky deserves it the most obviously

No, I think they really need to go in and let Becky be the inaugural champion. She's spent an eternity chasing and losing any actual important matches that come up, and if they don't strike while the iron is hot, she risks losing that overness. Put her in there, let her be over and on fire and really make the title worth something, and then after a few months of Becky being on top of the world, then Eva can steal it when it'll get her the most heat and they can go from there.

I am fine with two titles for different divisions if you are going to have two brands since I just can't see one brand (likely Smackdown) doing too well if the world champion was doing a "RAW feud" for a month unless the champion did two feuds at the same time which seems impossible to do well. I think the WWE has enough money to get the talent to run two divisions. My problem is that they pulled the gun on this without getting their troops in place first and now are scrambling to build up their weak rosters.

It should have a 24/7 rule. It would revolutionize the business.

This is the one thing I hate about the split. Why canxt the champs float between shows, with bragging rights going to whoever has the champ signed.

I wonder what they'll title it? It would be cool if it was a "midcard" women's belt, something like the Intercontinental Women's Championship, etc. It's pretty clear the women's roster is mainly on Raw right now, so acting like the titles are both the top one would just dilute them both.
Plus the women's scene has never officially had a midcard belt, so that'd be cool/different. Or even a women's tag belt instead maybe, though that probably wouldn't work with the tiny roster there.

How about a G1 styled league system/tournament?
