Ryback would be a fun Bullet Club member. If only the Bullet Club wasn't straight up trash juice right now

Eh, I'm not a fan of the guy, but I can't fault him for having hustle.

If he shows up in New Japan, I will have to start watching New Japan. Japan sounds like an amazing fit for Ryback. It also might help his attitude to get shown what strong style actually feels like.

One one hand, it might be good as Japan is much more accustomed to working stiff. But on the other hand, if he gets as sloppy as he's been known to, and almost hurts someone like Makabe, Ishii, or Shibata, I don't see them just calling him out on it on Twitter. He'd just get the crap beaten out of him.

He would be best served as a tag guy imo. Hard to say how he will do, hopefully he does some cool stuff.

Going by the report, I'd feel concerned for Elgin a bit; NJPW clearly likes Elgin and I think he's in there for the long haul (relatively speaking), but he's the big powerhouse gaijin right now, and Ryback certainly would look more imposing than him.
That said, maybe he'd only be going over for a couple of tours, guess we'll have to see.

He's going by "The Big Guy"?
That's one of the worst ring names I've ever heard.

I figured as much in one of the older threads dealing with Ryback trying to get out of WWE. With the talent raids NJPW has suffered in the last year, Ryback saw a potential opening.

Nice, when Ryback got released, I was hoping he'd try wrestling in Japan. Seems like a good fit for him.

Just the thought of Ryback vs Ishii is enough to make me G1 Climax if you know what I mean

So in several years he'll be back in WWE under a new name and we will all be wondering what might run his gimmick?

I think he'll do great in new Japan. He proved to me that he can go when he feuded with Rusev.
This also in my mind gives huge credibility to njpw, since the wwe took a lot of their main talent, new Japan proves that wwe stars can join them, kinda like wcw back in the day, this will help the guys when negotiating contracts, that if the wwe low balls them they can go elsewhere.
