Aww...I was hoping to finally see a celebrity loss in WWE.
Congrats Shaq.

I've always been a Big Show fan. The Giant was probably the first heel, that I liked "first". (I liked some of the feels in WWF, that my brother liked, lol). I'm happy he's going to leave healthy, and I hope he might choose to do commentary occasionally, or manage. Like someone else said, I would buy a Paul Wight autobiography. I hope he has a nice retirement, and I thank him for entertaining me for over 20 years.

He's a good actor & has a future in movies. Congratulations to Big Show.

Good for him. I'm glad he's leaving healthy. I was never really fan of him but I think he's probably one of the greatest if not greatest super heavyweight wrestlers ever on his overall talent alone. One of the best things in life is Big Show trolling a hostile crowd and I think he would make an excellent commentator. I think he resides in Orlando or Tampa so I hope he becomes the NXT commentator or commissioner or manager.
Anyways dude seems like the greatest man ever off screen and the real definitive teddy bear. Good luck to him and I'm glad his last match will be a spectacle with tons of media coverage.

Big Show coming back for one-off matches is what he should've been doing a few years ago. Dude is an attraction wrestler working a regular schedule (not as much recently, I know).

Can't help but shake this feeling we're all going to miss Big Show when he does retire. I know he's been hanging around like a stale old fart but for the majority of us, he's been there since we were kids. Feels a bit like the end of an era when he does hang up his boots.
Don't know what you've got until it's gone and all that.

How he's still wrestling well into his 40's is a f*** amazing accomplishment in itself
If this is indeed it Show, enjoy your retirement you deserve it.

Big Show is awesome, yet is one of the most baffling misuses of talent I can think of. Not in a "they buried the indie guy" way, but here you have the best giant the business has ever seen, with great mic skills, a great look, and he can go, yet look what they did with him. Now he's little more than a running joke. Though I think at least the people making the jokes recognize how unique of a talent he is. I'll miss him when he's gone since he's been on my screen nearly my whole life but I'm really glad that he's getting out in such good shape.

As an obvious Big Show Mark, I see the following
Going down to NXT as a face commentator
Getting into a minor feud with Samoa Joe (Already lost the title)
Have Joe defeat legend before called up to Main Roster
Have Show turn heel commentator because these NXT Kids have no respect for the past

Coming soon, Abyss vs Paul "The tall man" white in a taipei death match taped in the parking lot of a recently closed Sears. Will he say "BOOOOOOOY!"?

His Austin podcasts made it seem like he has no plans on leaving so I will take this with a 'wait and see"

Good career, and I don't want him to end up like Andre or Giant Gonzales did.
I am fine if Shaq is his final opponent, it's not like people in here wouldn't turn into f***ing ghouls if they were asked to treat retiring Big Show as a feather in someone's cap.

I hope he doesn't take a job as a financial consultant when he retires

Anyone think they might give him a short "thank you" title reign?

Anyone think they might give him a short "thank you" title reign? With two titles it's more likely but I don't think so. I could see him challenging but falling short for sure.

Nah, I don't even see that happening. He's not been on the road in a while, and the rosters are stacked with challengers as it is. His Thank You is a match with Shaq at Wrestlemania.

Show is a legend. But it's no time like the present. Sucks it'll be against Shaq though, but that's up to him.
