RAW is live tonight for the third consecutive night of WWE action in Brooklyn at the Barclays Center, and we're post-SummerSlam on the road to Clash of Champions on September 25th in Indianapolis!
For the first time, we have a reigning WWE Universal Champion, and his name is DEMON KING DEMON KING DEMON KING! Finn Bálor defeated Seth Rollins to become the first champion at SummerSlam... however, there are reports that he suffered a shoulder injury during the match. Will we learn anything about his condition on tonight's show, and will Rollins want another piece of him? And will the fans in Brooklyn continue to boo the SUPER RED UNIVERSAL CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE?
It's almost certain we won't see Brock Lesnar tonight, after he beat down and bloodied Randy Orton so badly the match had to be stopped, and then proceeding to give SmackDown Live Commissioner Shane McMahon the F5. Since WWE wouldn't suspend Lesnar for his UFC/USADA drug test failures, it's almost certain RAW Commissioner Stephanie McMahon and GM Mick Foley won't suspend him or punish him for this. But will we hear of any protests from Team Blue about this tonight?
After a month spent apart, Charlotte is now reunited with the WWE Women's Championship, after defeating Sasha Banks to gain revenge and take back her title. And she did it all without Dana Brooke or Ric Flair, proving finally that she can stand alone on top. And since Banks is now said to be out with a back injury, who will step up to challenge Charlotte for the title? After leaving NXT behind on Saturday night, is it possible that Bayley shows up to avenge her fallen friend?
We did not get the United States Championship match last night at SummerSlam (we did get a match last week though), as a pre-match attack by Rusev was turned into a major attack by Roman Reigns, messing up Rusev's ribs to the point that referees declared there would be no match. Reigns added insult to injury by blasting Rusev with a mighty Spear for added emphasis. Is Rusev in any shape to seek revenge on The Guy tonight?
Jon Stewart got involved in another SummerSlam match, distracting The Club long enough to allow Big E to return from a bout of Ringpostitis, leading to a DQ finish in favour of Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows. The New Day have therefore moved into a full year as WWE Tag Team Champions, but this result surely means there's more to come between the two teams. And in other tag team action, Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens sneaked by Enzo and Big Cass, will there be hell to pay there too?
In pre-show action last night, Sheamus went 1-0 up in the Best of 7 (or is that 6, Byron Saxton?) Series with Cesaro - will Match 2 take place tonight? Also, there's further tension within the Dudley Boyz after they lost to Neville and Sami Zayn, will things explode further? All this and much more tonight from 8/7c on USA!
