Obviously, we all know the former Colin Cassidy is NOT going to win the belt, and may likely be the guy who gets pinned. But, let's assume that they actually do something radical to get people surprised and have him win. Obviously, I would have to fulfill what I said about attempting to do cartwheels over on the RAW thread (I'm probably going to be as successful as this:) But the two more important questions would be A) How long does he hold the belt and B) What program will he have. Assuming he wins, I'm guessing he's purely transitional, and loses it to Seth Rollins the first opportunity he gets, which may be a week or two later. But, if they actually have him work a month or two as champion, Kevin Owens might be the challenger, which means plans for having JeriKO vs. Enzo & Cass might have to shift to singles competition. I think it would not work out for WWE at all. Cassidy isn't quite ready yet for anything close to being the face of RAW, and it would reinforce Vince McMahon's mindset that Bigger is Always Better.

If he were to win, it would be a great way to have somebody turn heel on him. Who...I don't know, but someone has to screw him out of the belt, nobody's beating him clean.

Enzo to turn heel inexplicably in order to build crowd support for Cass who ultimately triumphs and puts away Enzo to thunderous boos while commentary puts over the insurmountable odds he overcame.

I think he'd have a fairly short title reign. Rollins would take it from him in a couple of months or so. If they made the really dumb decision to put the title on him, it would be for nothing more than shock value and hope of a ratings jump from it.

I hate that fact that you are spot on with how they would book it.

I hate the fact he's in the match at all and it's even remotely possible. Just thinking about him winning the title before owens makes me sick.

He's not ready brother.
In all seriousness, and you can quote me for posterity, Cass is a future wrestlemania main eventer, they're slowly developing and getting him over, but he's not at that point yet, he needs Enzo to cut promos, he barely has a moveset.
They push him now and they exposed him and cost the Company hundreds of millions of dollars. He's about three years to getting to that main event spot.

He is overpushed/protected enough at the moment.
I can see people turning on him soon.

I dunno about Big Cass being a Wrestlemania Main Eventer. But hey, if The Miz can main event a Wrestlemania long before he found a character/gimmick he nails and long before he was decent in the ring, a developed "Big Cass" isn't the longest shot. I just hope they see what you see as far as pushing him too soon is concerned. Exposing talent by pushing them too soon is a lesson this company has ignored time and time again. Even taking the pin tonight and making him seem like he got into a match he ain't ready for would damage him if they want him to be a big deal. In my "perfect booking" world, he has a few highlight spots (tosses everyone out before break, beats Reigns in a test of strength, etc.), hits a finisher and gets a 2.9 pinfall on Reigns or Rollins before they kick out, and doesn't take the pin (that, again, needs to be Reigns or Rollins).

He is overpushed/protected enough at the moment. I can see people turning on him soon. I want him to win it partly because of this. Just put up my feet, lean back, and watch the fallout happen.

You're right, he needs just a few highspots and few moments so that he doesn't gets exposed. I would put him with Enzo for this year and just have the agents work with him diligently. Then after the team break up, have him with the workhorses who can help him improve his confidence. Sullivan put Goldberg against Bill Demott because he knew that Bill was the guy that could present him as a monster.

In what world is he overpushed? He and Enzo *just* lost on PPV, and he's had like 3 singles matches. Some of you are acting like he's beating main event talent on a weekly basis
