I agree with your points about Rhino and Raven, but what is this 'controversy in Canada' you mentioned about Raven? Right before the tv-show was debuting on Spike TV, Raven was the champ, some nwa affiliate held a show where Raven dropped the belt back to Jarrett as Storm and Harris interfered on behalf of the Tennessee almighty. Seriously, am I being worked here, or was that a proper question, bro? I got all the Ruce-gifs waiting on my pc to leash out. It was Scott D'Amore's promotion IIRC (Scott being manager of Team Canada and part of the office for TNA at the time), and it was done in their internet era in between being on FSN and getting Spike in order to reset their world title for their Spike TV run.

Yeah, I know that. Just like to spam them Ruce's all around. And I do stand by the fact that controversy in Canada was a load of toss.

Some other names would be Gail Kim, Awesome Kong, Alex Shelley, Chris Sabin, Miss Jackie, Chris Harris, Eric Young, Bobby Roode, Abyss, James Storm, and the like.
People who's runs increased their value from what it was would include people like Steiner, Kevin Nash, Jerry Lynn, and Bob Backlund.
People who definitely increased their value despite how questionably valuable they were to TNA would be people like Crimson and Chris Melendez.

IWC and TNA is always a bit of mess and it sometimes leads me to question even them proper questions. Sorry, if I offended ya.

I'd toss James Mitchell's name onto the list as well. He did little of note in WCW and was only there for the tail end of ECW, but in TNA he became a top drawer heel manager.

Scott Steiner is probably remembered a lot more fondly thanks to his TNA run as opposed to had he retired following his departure from WWE. Steiner saved his reputation going to TNA. When I heard he'd signed, I feared for how bad a non-motivated Steiner would be, coasting in TNA. Turns out to be the complete opposite: he came in motivated, ready to put others over, and looking to build himself back up at the same time.

Also, lets not forget Shark Boy. He was a big star for sure, but in TNA he was a virtual merchandising gold mine.

Matt Hardy lately made his brand worth something again. After his WWE exit which he wasn't doing so hot at the end. You could say his career was about over. He came to TNA didn't do much and was still in bad shape. Now he doing something that draws and has made people care about Matt Hardy in 2016 when a few years ago nobody could give a crap about the guy and was the butt of all jokes.

I love how the payoff was Raven beating up Larry Zybysko and never even bothering to go after the world title again.

I'd argue really anyone you can call a "TNA guy" even if it's just a co-opt would fit this bill.

Gail Kim, definitely. Both her WWE runs were total burn outs, but she has defined TNA's women's division from day one. I am kinda on the fence on that one. Gail Kim vs Kong back in (I think 08) was amazing and that feud along with others showed how great Gail can be, something which her 1st WWE run failed to do. However since Gail made her return to TNA after her 2nd failed WWE attempt it has literally been Gail Kim featuring The Knockouts division. Once upon a time the Knockouts were THE reason to watch TNA, because WWEs womens division was the drizzling shits. How the tables have turned....
