This has always been one of my favourite years to rebook as I think it had major potential, but they just booked everyone incorrectly, in the wrong spots with awful gimmicks. The talent was there, the booking decisions were mind-blowingly bad. The guys doing the blogs on RAW which has now reached 1995 has inspired me to have another go at doing so as a time filler.
I will be keeping it as realistic as possible, working with what the WWF had to work with. ie: I cant have people jumping from WCW when they were under contract, or having random people showing up if they were tied to other companies. Also if a wrestler's contract ends, they have to leave my booking too. But bear in mind, sometimes in reality just because a wrestler left the quit promotion, it doesnt mean they were not under contract. IE: Jeff Jarrett quit the WWF in July 1995 but in reality he was under contract until October 1996 so I am free to continue using him.
I wont have the time to write RAW by RAW, week by week, so I will write it up month by month in the form of being written like a journalist, ie: an Observer Newsletter and it will give you all of actions, gossip, comings & goings on a month by month with a write up of the monthly PPV.
Feel free to comment, pick out any mistakes made or even join and do your own if you like and have the time.
I am going to start exactly how the WWF started with everything in place as it was as of the 1st January however he only minor change is scrapping the Tag Team Tournament, instead the Smoking Gunns are the current Tag Team Champions after defeating Shawn Michaels & Diesel to win the titles and put the final nail in the teams coffin in the weeks following Survivor Series.

1995 has such fundamental problems that getting a good year without a cavalcade of abrupt character changes and out of nowhere pushes would require rebooking to start in 1994. The talent is there to have absolutely amazing matches but the booking and characters... yikes.
Vince really should have taken The kliq aside and played them footage of Steve Austin's Fall Brawl match with Jim Duggan and said 'If you dislike the booking so much you're going to fight me on everything, you're free to go to WCW. Good luck jobbing to Duggan, Kevin Sullivan and the Guardian Angel because there's no way in hell you're getting near the world title there.'

I agree with you there, I would have done that. But it would have made the task easy so I am going to work with what they had starting in January

January 1995 Current Champions: WWF World Heavyweight Champion: Diesel (November 26th 1994 - defeated Bob Backlund at Madison Square Garden)
WWF Intercontinental Champion: Razor Ramon (August 29th 1994 - defeated Diesel at Summerslam 1994)
WWF Tag Team Champions: The Smoking Gunns (December 12th 1994 - defeated Shawn Michaels & Diesel on RAW)
WWF Womens Champion: Bull Nakano (November 20th 1994 - defeated Alundra Blayze at the Tokyo Dome)
The set up towards the Royal Rumble is pretty much the same as in reality, with Bret Hart being given the WWF Championship Title shot against Diesel after losing to Bob Backlund at the Survivor Series, Davey Boy Smith's involvement (or lack of after getting knocked out) at Survivor Series is coming into play more with the announcers, particularly Jim Cornette (whom is filling in as guest commentator on RAW in the lead up to the Royal Rumble, who is pretty much left without a charge since Yokozuna was last seen at the Survivor Series) alluding to friction between Hart & Bulldog.
Diesel meanwhile has had an eventful month of December, after a massive bust up with Michael's at Survivor Series he won the WWF Championship from Bob Backlund, in mid December both Michaels and Diesel were forced to defend the tag titles against their will against the Smoking Gunns on the December 12th episode of RAW, again Michael's levelled Diesel with a super kick, this time seemingly intentionally resulting in The Gunns winning their first championship and Diesel chasing Shawn Michaels out of the building in his wrestling gear on a cold December night, Michaels does an in ring promo the following week saying he is sick of carrying Diesel and he is coming for the WWF Title, which brings Diesel out for a pull apart brawl with mainly Michaels playing the chicken shit heel doing all of the goading and then hiding behind a host of referee's as Diesel is hot.
Other programs set up in December & January include The Undertaker running through members of the $$$ Corporation in matches on TV such as Volkoff & IRS, Dibiase plans on sending the bigger guns after Taker such as Bundy & Bigelow. Meanwhile an angle is set up between IC Champion Razor Ramon & Owen Hart when Owen pins Ramon in a tag match that also involved Jim Niedhart & 1-2-3 Kid. Owen is named the No.1 Contender and will get a shot at the title at the Royal Rumble.
The Smoking Gunns on the heels of their tag championship victory take on all comers at the following TV tapings including victories over the Heavenly Bodies, Well Dunn & The Headshrinkers, in an angle on RAW where Ted Dibiase looks as if hes about to offer them cash for thier contracts they are attacked from behind and laid out by Bam Bam and Tatanka setting up a tag title match at the Rumble.
Through the month of December a huge deal is made in vignettes and talking segments of a huge star from Japan coming to the WWF, Hakushi. They hype him up as a big deal in Japan. Hakushi debuts on the January 9th episode of RAW with an impressive victory over Bob Holly, with a really cool entrance they announcers hype him big time as International signing and will make a big impression in 1995. In the run up to the Rumble it is announced he will make his PPV debut teaming with fellow countryman and WWF Womens Champion Bull Nakano to take on 1-2-3 Kid and Alundra Blayze.
Guest Host: "Baywatch Star" Pamela Anderson WWF World Heavyweight Championship Match "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel (c) vs Bret "The Hitman" Hart WWF Intercontinental Championship Match "The Bad Guy" Razor Ramon (c) vs "The King of Harts" Owen Hart WWF Tag Team Championship Match The Smoking Gunns (c) vs The Million Dollar Corporation (Bam Bam Bigelow & Tatanka) Mixed Tag Team Match Bull Nakano (c) and Hakushi vs Alundra Blayze & 1-2-3 Kid 30 Man Over the Top Royal Rumble

Only thing with that is I think one of the Smoking Gunns got injured because they were replaced in the tournament by Bob Holly/123 Kid. I'm using Alyce: Old Media Enthusiast's blog to help out, since it's right around this timeframe. So, the only change to that card I'd make is swapping out The Smoking Gunns with The Allied Powers who formed before the Rumble, aren't elsewhere on your card, and it condenses a couple of things. You can have this as the final blowoff to Luger v Tatanka, the Powers win the titles, establishing a new team, and you can keep LT getting involved with Bam Bam, one part I would keep for realism's sake. I'm assuming Vince would want the deal anyway, and it worked out well IRL so might as well keep it for WM 11.

According to the Observer the injury was kayfabe, which is why they used the weak excuse of one of the Gunns falling off a horse, Vince had a last minute idea to push Holly & Kid as an upstart team, but then they just dropped the belts after the PPV anyways, all a bit pointless really.
Also when it comes to the booking, unless its a serious injury that kept them out a long time, like Austins' neck. I would pretty much ingore it, because minor injuries may not have happened in a rebooked scenario. But yeah I get what you mean, I am going to try and keep it as realistic as possible.

Now I appreciate this would have involved him not getting fired again (a tough ask) but giving Marty Jeneatty a heel turn would have worked with Shawns face turn at the time. He could have really let loose at the fans for rejecting him in favour of the guy who threw him through a window etc.

February and March 1995 After the fallout from the Royal Rumble we now on the Road to Wrestlemania and the main event has been established, WWF Champion Diesel will defend the WWF Championship againt the winner of the Royal Rumble, Shawn Michaels and Shawn will be accompanied to the ring by Pamela Anderson. On the RAW following Royal Rumble Jim Cornette announces that he is the manager of the new Intercontinental Champion Owen Hart, not only will he be managing Hart but he has every intention of expanding his stable, Camp Cornette. One of the biggest stories to come out of the Royal Rumble was the altercation between LT and Bam Bam Bigelow, on the RAW following the PPV Bigelow is suspended by president Jack Tunney.Ted Dibiase tries to appeal the decision, in the process he runs down LT and his representatives. When Bigelow returns to TV in the subsequent weeks he throws out an open challenge to LT, which at first seemingly falls on deaf ears, LT later responds in a press conference where he accepts Bam Bam's challenge, any place, anytime. Bigelow eventually invites LT to RAW, a face to face confrontation between the pair results in a sneak attack from Tatanka, Lex Luger eventually makes the save and a tag team match is announced for Wrestlemania, Lex Luger then trains Taylor in a series of vignettes in the lead up to the PPV. It is later announced that the match will be a tag team Lumberjack Match where the Million Dollar Corporation and LT's All Star Team will surround the ring. Another person who is continuing their feud with Dibiase's crew is The Undertaker, as Taker is running through the Corporation, Dibiase promises a big surprise, his crown jewel who will take out The Undertaker once and for all. During a match between Taker and Bundy on the February 20th RAW, Sid Justice returns to the WWF after a 3 year absence. Attacking Taker after the match. He later goes on to challenge The Undertaker to a match at Wrestlemania. The tension between Bret Hart and the British Bulldog following the Royal Rumble begins to heighten, built up over the next few weeks a face to face interview is scheduled between the two in the ring on RAW, Smith apologies to Hart for his recent screw ups and wants to put things behind them, they shake hands. They then agree to team up the following week against the team of Owen Hart and Shawn Michaels, after a really strong match the Bulldog turns heel on Bret and leaves with Owen hart and Jim Cornette. In an interview the next week Cornette reveals Bulldog as his latest acquisition, claiming he was right about the issues all along so he approached the Bulldog with an offer he couldnt refuse. Bulldog then expains he was sick and tired of it always being about Bret and he was not getting the recognition he deserved, claiming whether it was in tag action with the Bulldogs vs Hart Foundation or in front of 80,000 fans at Wembley Stadium, Bulldog was always the better of the two. Bret challenges Bulldog to a match at Wrestlemania, and promises to outdo thier match at Wembley Stadium and take back his win, lots of clips of the Summerslam match are shown in the following weeks to build anticipation for the match at Mania. As Wrestlemania draws closer we have Diesel vs Michaels on top and big hype for the Bulldog/Bret match, both they are counting on to be show stealers. The celebrity heavy match in Luger & LT vs Bam Bam and Tatanka and the big man match between Sid & Taker. Meanwhile Rowdy Roddy Piper makes his return on an episode of RAW and is announced as the Guest Host of the show, and a slew of other celebrities are added such as Salt-N-Pepa singing the National Anthem, Jenny McCarthy, Nicholas Turturo and Jonathan Taylor Thomas will join Pamela Anderson on the show. Over the weeks other matches added to the card at The Smoking Gunns defending the Tag Team Championship against Jeff Jarrett and The Roadie, Razor Ramon and Alundra Blayze are given rematches against Owen Hart and Bull Nakano respectively, and 1-2-3 Kid will meet Hakushi. As Wrestlemania approaches Men on a Mission turn heel after losing a tag Title Match to the Smoking Gunn's, Diana Hart Smith is interviewed and gives her thoughts on the Bret/Bulldog match, showing her disgust at her husband's actions over the past few weeks. Shawn Michaels, Bam Bam and Tatanka and filmed in a segment at Times Square in New York where they run down thier respective opponents until Luger and Diesel show up, introduce L.T and there is a confrontation. Roddy Piper films several segments on his picks for each match to build the PPV and lots of new superstars are promised after Wrestlemania. Wrestlemania XI April 2nd 1995 Hartford Civic Center

I was never a fan of Bob Backlund, I didnt mind crazy Bob, but by this point he was being phased out, I cant even recall the Bret-Backlund WM match having much build on TV, he then went on to do his Presidential campaign after Mania, which was dropped in a few weeks and I dont think he appeared much on TV again until he managed the Sultan, so in this scenario I have phased him out folling the loss to Diesel.

1995 King of the Ring.
Shawn Michaels wins it, and is then joined in the ring by Diesel, Razor Ramon, and the 123 Kid (HHH would join them a few months later).
HBK says "We are sick and tired of this New Generation shit! We've had enough of garbage men, hockey players and clowns. We're taking over this company and saving it from becoming like WCW, with the same old, and I do mean OLD, shit they are serving up every week with the likes of Hogan, Savage, and all the other fossils that couldn't hack it here anymore, and to those ECW loving assholes living in their grandmother's attics or basements who think they are the cutting edge, you ain't seen nothing yet!"
Then he drops the mic and flips off the crowd.
The PPV ends with Vince on commentary screaming "god dammit, cut the transmission!"

April 1995 Coming off Wrestlemania the fued between Shawn Michaels and Diesel is still not over, Shawn claims he is not through with Diesel yet and in interviews following the PPV he begins to adopt a more serious heel approach as opposed to the gyrating chicken shit playboy gimmick he has played for many years. Also following the loss to LT and Lex Luger at Wrestlemania, the Million Dollar Corporation is in need of regrouping, in an angle on the subsequent RAW Dibiase scolds Tatanka and Bigelow for the embarrassing loss. Eventually he forgives Bigelow, but fires Tatanka for the snafu at Mania and taking the 3 count in the last two PPV matches. As Tatanka stands up for himself and goes after Dibiase he is assualted by Bam Bam, as a beatdown occurs until an unlikely ally in the man whom he stabbed in the back runs out to make the save, Lex Luger. Luger cautiously helps Tatanka to his feet, who nods on to show appreciation for his help. In the following weeks Tatanka begins to show remorse and repents his sins of joining the Million Dollar Coporation, while everyone warn's Luger that he cant trust Tatanka, Luger extends the hand of friendship. The two then decade to form a new tag team called "American Made" (Made in the USA & The Native Amaerican) as Tatanka adopts stars and stripes on his tights and revisits using the war paint on his face in red, white & blue. They aim to not only put an end to the Corporation but eventually win the WWF Tag Team Championship. The Corporation itself begins to slim down as IRS & Nikolai Volkoff depart the WWF in April. Leaving Bam Bam, Sid & Bundy. Ted Dibiase also reveals that he was behind the attack on Alundra Blayze at Wrestlemania when he introduces his the Monster Ripper into his stable. Blayze suffered a broken nose at the hands of Ripper at Mania and she now plans to take the Womens Championship the Corporation. Hakushi continues his dominance over the competition and it is revealed that 1-2-3 Kid suffered a serious neck injury at Wrestlemania. Vignettes for some new stars coming to the WWF are also aired through April, one of the most notable is Hunter Hearst Helmsley. A new team called The Blonde Bombshell's will also debut, consisting of Chris Candido, Louie Spicolli and thier manager Sunny. A trio of flashy, arrogant, ego driven, good looking blondes who promise to take the Tag Team Division by storm. Finally it is announced the first 2 hour PPV special "In Your House: The Premiere" will take place on May 19th with the card as follows.
May 14th 1995 Onondanga County War Memoria, Syracuse, New York
Main Event Six Man Tag Team Match Diesel, Bret The Hitman Hart & Razor Ramon vs. Shawn Michaels, Owen Hart and British Bulldog
