Lol is the snake thing true? If so that is crazy. As per IMDb: haahahah oh man wow! That is awesome. I wish there was a shot of the owner of the snake crying. That poor snake but what a great story

What are some films that were originally rated R that would likely have a PG-13 or even lower rating if they came out in 2016? The original Texas Chainsaw Massacre comes to mind, no sex, no nudity, little profanity, and there's not even much blood or gore. Of course, the sequels would still be R and deserve it. I bet the original TCM would still get the R. It has a dark tone and feeling of dread. Which is part of the reason why Henry Portrait of a Serial Killer got an X rating originally.

Wasn't there a big controversy when Stallone's Judge Dredd got an "R" rating? I mean, it's basically on the same level as Guardians of the Galaxy. A fun sci-fi action/comedy. They betrayed the rating LAAAAAAAAW!!!

Blew my mind when I saw Herschel from The Walking Dead is the daddy cannibal.

I think the true winner of this is Planes, Trains, and Automobiles which is only R due to Steve Martin's infamous rant to the clerk at the airport.

Some Friday the 13th movies. At least violence wise anyways. I still love the movies but the violence in those are way toned down compared to some of the newer movies. Probably most of the Elm Street movies too.

Probably most of the Elm Street movies too. Actually, those deaths were originally more graphic, but the MPAA forced them to trim them down or they'd be rated x. Even then, you'd still have to deal with the sex, nudity, and drug scenes.

If you want to take it a different way, there is no way that either The Goonies or Raiders of the Lost Ark hold their PG rating today. Both would easily jump up to PG-13.

It's a shame that they got cut like they regarding the gore. I seen the uncut deaths of part VII on YouTube and while they're gorier...I still feel that even those are tame compared to some of the newer movies.

Yeah, pretty much all Friday 13th films except part 6 had a fair amount of nudity. Definitely enough to earn an R-rating.
