"Well sug, he just never found his way here. He was starting to come into his own but decided to leave me and go to Ja-pan but we all know they don't appreciate wrestling or they'd have been at Bound For Glory. Plus they made Okado a champion long after Green Lantern mattered. Then to top it all off, he and Doc promised me they would come back and bring Arn's kid with them but they lied and went to work for Vince McMahon and all because he could pay them! What a bunch of ungrateful losers! I cannot wait for them to leave WWE so I can make them a champion here and treat them like they deserve to be treated! Dammit, where is James Storm with my sarsaparilla, I got the vapors!"

According to Dixie he was just coming into his own. Gaburick tried to lowball him. After he negotiated with tna and made it clear he was going to the wwe, they pull a bullshit move saying that he signed a letter of intent trying to screw him. They also booked him as a lower midcarder for years after he proved that he was mr tna, then the creative "geniuses" of Bischoff and Hogan said that he needed to be a Ric Flair clone to get over.
To quote the song legacy by Eminem, 'Cause all my life I was told and taught I am not shit By you wack f***ing giant sacks of lying dog shit Now you shut up bitch, I am talking Thought I was full of horseshit and now You f***ing worship the ground in which I am walking."
After leaving tna, AJ won the prestigious IWGP HEAVYWEIGHT belt, yeah heavyweight, he wasn't put on the junior division, he was treated as the main guy from his first match in, he was also one of the few gaijin who won the belt.
Then he skipped developmental and debuted right into the main roster with a huge push.
He then proceeds to pin John Cena clean in the middle of the ring right after kicking out of his finisher.
In my opinion AJ also did the impossible, see the thing is that Vince McMahon for the most part dislikes wrestlers he didn't had a hand in creating, and if they want to reach the main event level it usually takes them years to win the belt, like Booker T, Jericho, and Rob Van Dam. AJ Styles did it in less than a year.
It's ironic that Vince in one year saw AJ's true potential and the magnitude of star he could become. Dixie fn Carter had AJ for more than ten years and just wasted him for the majority of that decade.
I wish that they realize they had a hall of famer on their hands and f***ed everything up.

It sucks that TNA never fully got behind AJ, but lets not pretend he was just some random Xplosion jobber either.

The point is that he wasn't "The Man" when it was clear as day he was their face that runs the place But on the other side of that coin, AJ's WWE run was arguably built off of his TNA work. Well, actually it was built off of his New Japan work, but New Japan pushed him off the back of this TNA work, because even if TNA didn't make him The Man, they still pushed him enough where other companies saw him as a potential headliner.

Let's see how tna actually handled AJ. The first couple of years he became mr TNA and won all the titles, but that was Jarrett who saw something in Styles, not Dixie nor Russo. Then he toiled away as Christian's lackey, then he had a crush on Karen Angle, then the stupid frontline vs main event Mafia angle, where he constantly had to put over Nash and Sting. Then they made him the champion, then Ric Flair's clone, so they took the focus out of Styles and put the spotlight on Flair. Then he was fed to Rob Van Dam without rhyme or reason, just because RVD was a former wwe guy and Dixie prefers former wwe guys than her own home grown talent. His last couple of years he went down to the mid card and Claire Lynch happened...yeah AJ was pushed by tna, but for the majority of his time there he was wasted away and mismanaged.

Once again that's not the point. He was not The man when he could of been. Point. Blank. Simple. When he left they was still saying AJ is coming into his own. AJ was no scrub and wasn't treated like one. BUT he was never given the ball and be able to run with it.

Despite being a multi time world champion, despite winning all the titles, despite everyone and their mom associating TNA and AJ Styles. the company NEVER treated him that way... AJ was always "The Future of TNA!" and was NEVER treated as "the NOW of TNA."

Dixie has a complete lack of self awareness and will choose to focus not on the fact she let him go, more on the years she renewed his contract and had him as champion of her company. She will see this as vindication for the choices she made, ignoring how they put former WWE guys over AJ time and time again.

How does Dixie feel? Probably with her hands.

I think the way she treated injured employees for years proved that Dixie doesn't have feelings.

I'll never get past the "Coming into his own" line about AJ. It's just so Dixie.
