I may be one of the few Nia Jax marks around here, I'll admit...but I REALLY loved what she did tonight out there.
After weeks of enhancement talents, a story progression that led to a main roster opponent (yeah, judge Alicia's level as you will, she was still considered kayfabe higher than anyone Nia's faced on the main roster yet)...and rather than a competitive, back and forth match...a few shots by Alicia before Nia just annihilated her.
That's how to build a monster up...and it's something we haven't seen in the Women's division in YEARS.
So yeah, judge Raw as you will, but I will appreciate that segment. Especially Nia busting out a Barricade Breaker Tackle (which I don't think has ever been used in a Women's segment before).

Yep. She won me over tonight with her promo (authentic promo) and what she did to Alicia. I'm down with her.

That was a pretty good segment and she carried it well, good beatdown that really made her look like a monster. I proobably would've used someone other than Alicia for it though, since crowd doesn't really care about her it didn't really work for its intended purpose. Granted not much alternative, Sasha and Bayley are too high up on the food chain to do it with.

This is all leading to a feud with Sasha's friend Mia.

Looking through the Raw roster of women listed, sans Alicia and Stephanie McMahon: -Bayley: had her own thing going tonight. -Charlotte: Champion, heel -Dana Brooke: Went back to being Charlotte's punching bag -JoJo: Not a wrestler anymore. -Lana: Heel, not a wrestler anymore (for now anyway) -Paige: Suspended, may or may not come back because of the whole Del Rio thing. -Sasha Banks: Busy with Charlotte -Summer Rae: Heel last I remember, has been either MIA or on Superstars. So yeah, Alicia was pretty much the ONLY choice.

It was awesome, one of the few high points of the show for me.
It's been ages since we've had a Bull Nakano/Aja Kong/Kharma type performer in the womens' division, and there's potential for some awesome angles. They need to follow up on it, though, rather than throwing Nia back into jobber squashes next week.

eh, I guess I'm just too much of an Alicia fan to get behind it. I'm doubting Alicia will get any retribution from the beat down(that's my main problem). It's not like they haven't given Alicia random pushes before like against Paige. So I would have appreciated Alicia going psycho on Nia or something to build a storyline. It wasn't like Nia was destroying women like Alexa or Carmella so easily down in NXT.

That was vicious and really helped to get Nia over as a Hoss of the division
But credit to Alicia too, selling the whips into the barricade and then the spear like death, she is the most underrated female talent in my eyes since Victoria.

I completely forgot Nia had even been called up, just like Braun I can't recall any of her matches so far being on the hulu edit

I did love the one fan yelling "STAY DOWN!" after Nia tackled Alicia through the barricade. Maybe because I like any reason to think of that one Kids In The Hall skit.

I enjoyed when Alicia showed a bit of crazy last week. I know that's only vaguely on topic but I remember people responded well to it until they stripped her of the gimmick a couple weeks later. That said, this was pretty impressive. I'm curious to see what comes next week.

She'd kill it if they'd stay consistent and just let her turn it up to 11.

She looked great in-ring. Easily the best she has since the Asuka match. Allow a beast character to be a beast and they shine.
Problem is, I fear it's leading to a match with Sasha down the line, and she'll end up killing her.

It was good, but I am still not buying her as a killer. Shes too softly spoken and nice. She just doesnt give me Bull/Aja/Kharma vibes in the slightest. I guess its nice to have something different, but I want a killer to be a killer and you dont come by them often enough in the womens division. I would prefer Kharma in this spot but they are trying to build their own version, I just dont feel it. Although I do really like her from what I see on Breaking Ground.

What's interesting is that Nia isn't the archetypal Strowman salivating monster heel hell bent on distruction but she still destroys. Last night was awesome.

She looked like a killer. Hope she keeps raising the bar. Break tables. Put someone through the ring.

I'm really digging Nia Jax. The WWE women's roster on both shows has got some seriously impressive talent right now.

Nia won me over last night. I'll admit I hated when she was drafted so early and the only thoughts running through my mind were nepotism. That being said her segment with Alicia was awesome - that tackle through the barricade was the most violent thing I've ever seen in a woman's match. I also enjoy her character; she's a destroyer but still allowed to show feminine qualities.
