It's time for the OTHER Weekly Poll Sensation that sweeps the FAN-Nation! It's time, to RATE THE SMACKDOWN! ...LIVE!
Smackdown is live tonight from Philly with Backlash Fallout which was praised as quite possibly the Pay Per View of the Year for WWE, with the fallout from Heath Slater finally getting his Contract, which will be signed tonight, Becky Lynch becoming the first Smackdown Women's Champion and the beginning of the AJ Styles Era as WWE Champion! Tonight not only will Heath sign his contract official, but we will decide who faces Becky Lynch as A Five Way Number One Contenders Match for the Smackdown Women's Title is confirmed with the five gals who didn't win at Backlash. Hype Bros vs Usos in a Backlash rematch is also announced for tonight. Smackdown kicks off with AJ Styles and appropriately, THE CHAMP. IS. HERE!! AJ says he told us so, and when he says he will do something, he will do it. He is then interrupted by John Cena and says AJ has something that belongs to him, and he wants to be a 16 Time Champion, in enters Ambrose, and we got a hell of a back and forth where Cena is a Lazy Part Time wannabe Hollywood Star and Dean has no heart and no balls. Shane comes out and announces at No Mercy it will be Styles vs Cena vs Ambrose for the WWE Title, but tonight, it will be a Tag Match, Dean and Cena vs AJ and a partner of his choosing, if he can find one. The Usos beat The Hype Bros in a quick match with some great heel tactics. Curt Hawkins is coming, and Smackdown better be prepared to "Face the Facts". The Miz is out next to address his win at Backlash and his IC Title reign as a whole. Ziggler interrupts and wants another match without Maryse at Ringside, Daniel Bryan comes out and agrees but Miz told Daniel at Backlash he wanted his contract redone, and until he gets what he wants, this match doesn't happen, and he leaves. AJ tries to get Baron Corbin to be his partner for tonight but Corbin says he'd rather fight AJ for the belt himself. Corbin beats Crews down before their match starts and then is interrupted by Jack Swagger who has made the jump from RAW after his contract expired! He says Smackdown now has a big problem, from a guy with a hot wife, Jack Swagger! Becky Lynch is out to address her Smackdown Women's Title win! Becky Balboa is ready for a fight and she says bring it on, and the 5 Way for her Title is next! Alexa wins and will face Becky for the title!! AJ asks Kane if he will be his partner for tonight. Kane just laughs and walks away. Heath signs his contract next!! Slater signs and says he and Rhyno will take on anyone, anytime, anywhere, and out comes The Ascension to answer that challenge. Slater and Rhyno are victorious with a GORE! Bryan asks AJ if he can find a partner, he's been unable to, so Bryan says he found him one in JAMES f***ING ELLSWORTH. But AJ storms off in anger. Up next, Orton addresses Bray Wyatt for what happened at Backlash. Randy calls Bray out, and in DEH filled fashion Bray comes down, but Rowan attacks Randy from behind, but gets an RKO for his trouble, and this is far from over. The Main Event is next as Cena and Ambrose take on AJ Styles and James Ellsworth. But as James comes out, Miz lays him out and says HE is the main event, and partners with AJ for the Main Event!! Cena and Ambrose win, but after the match Dean lays out Cena with a Dirty Deeds as AJ walked away with the belt!
But how good, bad, or meh was tonight?? It's time to find out, and Rate the Smackdown... LIVE!!

Last week averages to 7.28.
This week... I'll go 9. I don't want to call it an all-time great but damn good two hours of TV.

Giving it a 9. So much fun. Everything on the show made sense. Can't wait for next week. Good job SD.

This week may break an overall ratings record if it stays on course Especially for Smackdown, was just a great show, two hours flew by like THAT.

This was a fun Smackdown. I usually rate shows low but I'm positive here. I give it a 10 to make up for the low ratings I gave before.

But seriously, 9. A very solid episode start to finish. That prematch graphic with James Ellsworth had me dying of laughter.
My only gripe is Bray, the guys not even spinning wheels in place anymore. He's reaching the center of the Earth he dug himself so deep in the character staleness. Also, Eric Rowan is back and the Wyatts are sort of back, yay?

Most legit & easiest 10 I've ever given a Raw or Smackdown as far as I can recall. -SLATER IS LEGIT CONTRACTED (and they didn't swerve it) -Hot as fire opening segment -ELLWORTH -Miz on fire -Styles like a less coked up HBK circa 97/98 with his EVERYTHING -CONTINUITY This show can really do no wrong right now. Cheers, Smackdown and everyone involved.

9...would be a 10 if Luke Harper was the one kicking Randy's ass. Rowan could still eat the RKO.

Can we start yelling at the people who give Smackdown 1s like we do with the folks that give Raw 10s? Because if you're giving that show or Backlash a 1, I don't know what the f*** you're looking for in a wrestling show.
Great action, great flow, and great storyline progression. f***ing James Ellsworth nearly main evented a WWE show and we were all excited about that! And then the Miz took him out and it made perfect sense to everyone!
Come on now. That show was fantastic. Smackdown has been absolutely on point since the draft.

Great show, it flowed nicely and apart from the Wyatt and Orton bit, it felt kinda fresh.
Plus Alexa Bliss....yowza

Its a little thing, but I love how everyone's motivation on SD makes sense.
Ambrose is pissed that a guy who was off for a month is getting a title shot against AJ.
Cena's disappointed and unimpressed at Dean's performance as a championship defender.
AJ doesn't give a shit that he took the easy way out, as he's the champ the runs the camp.
Ziggler wants Miz to actually prove himself without cheating.
Miz wants respect as a main event and is done giving title matches to unworthy people and being ignored.
Hell, even Corbin got a moment pointing that as a Lone Wolf, he's not keen on teaming with anybody.
Such a breath of fresh air.

A ten from me. Nothing happened that I didn't like. Love Dolph, and I still dig Wyatt so this was easy for me. Raw was only middle of the road for me this week but Smackdown has crushed it. I just hope the ratings are better for it tonight. Yeah, I can't say I like the trolling with the tens and ones. These threads were born out of an exchange between me and CJB. I feel a bit responsible for Rate the Raw/Smackdown threads, like CJB's the mom and I'm the distant dad in an unmarried relationship or something.

10, and I don't even give a shit. Tonight was just... sublime. Only part of the show that felt like a drag was the Corbin/Crews/Swagger segment, and even that wasn't enough to drag the show down a notch.
-Cena and Ambrose commiting verbal assault on each other
-The Women's Division continuing to be ama(-ya-ya-ya-ya-)zing, and I'm loving that Alexa is getting first dibs
-Mauro calling it The Rear View!
-James Ellsworth and AJ backstage had me f***ing rolling
-Orton taking no shit from Rowen
-Slater Slating all over the place
-Miz attacking Ellsworth, cementing himself as the #1 heel on the roster
I wish I had a DVR so I could go back and watch it all again right now, that's how much I enjoyed it. Maybe my expectations were just lowered due to how bad Raw was last night, but I'm sticking with 10 nonetheless. A perfect way to cleanse the palatte after last night.
