Nice to see Jim has time to do covers but not time to complete his work on ASB&R. I would love to get paid for work that I am never going to do. To be fair, J. Scott Campbell was long ago supposed to finish some Spidey project with Jeph Loeb (remember when he was writing comics? yeah, that long ago) and never did.....IIRC, a lot of his Marvel cover work was basically a "pay off" to make up for that lost/ignored work. (as in, "Do all these things and we'll forget you apparently just never bothered doing that other job we contracted you for.") Same with Kevin Smith and that Bullseye mini. Lee's one of the people in charge at DC, he doesn't get to have the same excuses.

And then on the last page they seem to have tied a fellow associated with the Fourth World to Batman..........who is still with us, apparently. {Spoiler}Thaddeus Brown, the original Mister Miracle, who (if the classic MM origin is still the same) should be very dead. But then, that's part of the schtick I reckon.

As part of their year long 80th anniversary celebration, Marvel is reviving the original STAR WARS comic with #108 - a one-shot coming out in May. Matthew Rosenberg is writing, with art by former/current Star Wars artists like Guiseppe Camuncoli, Luke Ross, Kerry Gammill & others, with a new cover by Walt Simonson. It's a follow up on Archie Goodwin's 'Crimson Forever' (the 50th issue of the old book). And yes, Jaxxon will be involved.

Conan the Barbarian is going to be on an Avengers team. This is an insane line up and I can’t wait.

Is one of the books called "Heroes in Crisis 2" that just consists of 26 pages of the words "were so sorry"?

I’m not saying that doesn’t seem believable but Bleeding Cool keeps talking about a Marvel Universe reboot and have done for the past 5 years or so and I don’t see any reboot.
So I’m taking that with a gigantic pinch of salt.

Wednesday Comics and New Frontier were thoroughly underrated and should be in the discussion more.

Also do they draw straws at who gets to be the angsty one each issue? >_>

So I’m taking that with a gigantic pinch of salt. On the Marvel side, I think people conflate, if not outright confuse, relaunching titles with new #1s with reboots. The former of which is also in the works, or so the rumours go. www.bleedingcool.com/2019/02/15/marvel-comics-relaunching/In spite of Secret Wars (2015), the Marvel universe still flows from Fantastic Four (1961) #1, albeit in fits and spurts (and sliding timescales). None of this lets Marvel off the hook for relying too much on relaunching to goose the numbers, although I'm not personally bothered by the idea of 'seasonal models' of comics as others seem to be. I just wish Marvel was clear and consistent when branding their TPB and HC collections when trying to reconcile all the relaunched titles over the past few years. For example, something like Captain Marvel (2014) Volume 1, 2, whatever, then (2016) Volume 1, 2, 3, and so on would be incredibly helpful.
