Found my collection of Don Simpson's Megaton Man. Yep looks like Ben Edlund ripped Megaton Man off with the Tick.
Got the first issue of Heroes in Crisis. Usually try to read all of DC'S big events. Haven't been spoiled on it so far.

Yeah, that thing... That thing is a trip. Until this event is over I refuse to believe what happened will stick. Yeah, I can’t see the major deaths lasting. Pretty sure one of them is confirmed already to not be {Spoiler} Wally is supposed to be joining Suicide Squad later this year if I’m not mistaken

One thing that bugged me about HiC: how old is Harley Quinn in canon? She used to be a certified doctor (not sure what the various reboots did to this), which would place her in her late 20's at the very earliest when she bugged out and joined The Joker but realistically would probably be in her early to mid 30s. Yet they keep drawing and presenting her as though she's in her very early 20's. Does she just age really well?

That doesn’t bug me nearly as much as the fact that her solo book seems to basically be an in continuity Elsewords story. Her characterisation is so different in her solo vs her in pretty much any other book drives me insane. And I like her solo book, but for f*** sakes DC just pick a direction and stick to it!!!

At this point, who even cares about superhero deaths anymore? I don't see a) why it keeps getting done when it never matters and b)why any fans would keep remotely upset because of that.

Also, holy shit DC, do you have to call everything Something Crisis? It's like Marvel and their love of events with the word "Secret" or "War(s)" in the title.

Her and Batgirls books for a while were very loose if flat out not canon with the rest of the DC universe. DC decided to try that for the entire universe and lost a ton of money because of it .. this was when DC dropped out of the top 10 sales charts for like months.

Yeah, that thing... That thing is a trip. Until this event is over I refuse to believe what happened will stick. I read it last night. There's no way those 2 particular people just died like that. Something's up. Much as with MISTER MIRACLE, something......else is going on....

I mean... Booster Gold is a major part of the story and his whole deal is time travel.

Was at the local bookstore earlier today, picked up 2 TPBs: Marvelman Classic Volume 1 and Miracleman: A Dream of Flying (same character under a different name). Never read the character, but they were each under 10 bucks and he sounds interesting (and I dig Captain Marvel/Shazam, who he's supposed to be a take-off of).

I know the second trade (and I'm assuming the first) is of the Alan Moore stuff, and that absolutely kicks ass. Good find!

Some of Moore's best stuff. And Gaimen's best comic work.Nice to see it is available at a decent price now. IIRC so far Marvel has reprinted all but the final 2 issues of the Eclipse run. The last issue is still a bit pricey. I dug a copy out of my LCS cheap bin. Seems the owners only know Marvel,D.C. and Image. So they have a good amount of rare/HTF/expensive stuff in their dollar bins. The classic Marvelman stuff is good if you enjoy silver age cape stuff.

Marvel is doing a series of "emerging from a shadowy image" reveals of the new GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY roster by Donny Cates & Geoff Shaw. {Spoiler}Cosmic Ghost Rider - no surprise, since they created him Beta Ray Bill Moondragon Gladiator
