Idk maybe they were not interested or he just took the most money whatever it is IMO though if he did get an offer for LU and did not take it he made a massive mistake because like already said his bread and butter is character work and and acting he would have been absoloute money in LU. TNA is not playing to his strenghts at all and is doing way more harm than good...maybe giving him the same creative leeway as Hardy is what he needs. Outside of Matt and Decay who really plays a character tho ? Grado, Sienna, Maria, Allie, Spud...

Has he ever impressed in the ring? I don't recall anyone ever saying "that Damien Sandow is a hell of a wrestler," it was always his character work that he excelled at. Only notable match I can recall is his MITB cash-in against Cena but Big Match John has good matches with everyone. Someone earlier nailed it about him being a classic mid-00s OVW wrestler because that's exactly what he is. A classic "good hand" who's never gonna wow anyone with his matches.

He's always been great at being someone else. Mizdow was mimicking the Miz, and "Intellectual Saviour" Sandow was mimicking Lanny Poffo as the genius. He dressed like him, he spoke like him, he cartwheeled like him, he wrestled like him. The interviews he gave after he left the WWE made him sound like an actor, rather than a wrestler. He needs to find an act that most fans don't remember, and be that guy instead.

He's a low card character guy and that's a not a bad thing and just because he made people laugh doesn't mean he should be move up the card especially not to a main eventer.I wish more people would realize that not everybody is a main eventer. There's a lot of guys currently that are the opposite of Rex and their great wrestlers but they have no character or talking ability but online people talk about them being held back when in reality their in the right slot currently.

It was Aron Rex himself who spoke of being held back and not being allowed to have main event opportunties, though.
