Money lline by Lashley. That dude can't do nothing wrong and now that he has the proper mic skills to back him up he is a monster amongst the boys out there. It's going to be a shame when they have EC3 defeat him because right now no one is on his level.

Huge credit to Lashley. He has put in the work he has and been able to stay a heel in front of the IZ crowd. Big Fight Bobby is awesome.

It feels so weird saying this about a TNA act but Lashley comes off as, by far and away, the most "legit" world champion in wrestling right now. He's always had the in-ring skills and presence but seemingly out of nowhere, he turned into a great promo.

As I said in the impact thread it is not farfetched to say him vs Lesnar would be money at Mania with good build. We don't need happy go lucky Lashley or silent Lashley, we need this destroyer talking shit version.

I would go so far as to say Lashley right now is what Lesnar would be in an ideal world where he actually gave a crap and did more than suplex people.

I feel like aging has helped him, among other things. He doesn't have the goober quality he did when he was younger of "Wayne Brady after Super Soldier Serum". I never hated him or anything, but these last few years in TNA seem to be mostly hitting on the right notes for the guy.

Why couldn't we get this guy during his prime years in wwe?
I still can't believe this is the same "bathurd" guy.

Why couldn't we get this guy during his prime years in wwe? I still can't believe this is the same "bathurd" guy. A lot of reasons: 1) Vince wanted to push the guy way before he was ready. In TNA, they had him work with guys whose charisma he could work off of (having them control the segment) before they were comfortable letting him talk on his own. 2) MMA stuff where he has to trash talk other guys on a regular basis to promote a fight probably helped. 3) Not as scripted so you are allowed to say what feels natural with small cliff notes

No one can evolve or get into a comfortable character based on their own personality turned up to 11 when they're given uncomfortable lines to speak that sound forced and kinda the same for everyone. Hell it wasn't until Ambrose got a little more lee-way with his promo's that he really started to catch fire. Lashley has been killing it lately. That promo he cut at the press conference with EC3 was the best damned promo I've heard from a World Champion in a long time. He stumbled a bit but that's because it felt like he was talking normally, where you're not going to say every word succinctly. I stopped playing a game on my phone and watched Impact during that press conference. I never thought I'd be able to say that freaking Lashley had me captivated, but he did, and I hope he can bring this guy to WWE one day.

Unfortunately there isn't a single other wrestler in TNA who I believe could have a compelling feud with Lashley. This means that the only reason to watch him is to watch him destroy people in the ring and out of it, which is OK (If not sometimes awesome)... But certainly would be better if there was some reasonable and interesting back and fourth.

IMO we are seeing his prime years now because he has his character down and his ring style is still the same if not better. This is how Lashley should have been.

I was actually going to say that he's probably on HHH's list as indy guys he'd sign for NXT, but then I checked and found out that he's already 40 years old.

I genuinely hope he goes back to WWE some day. Dude's always been pretty good in ring, now he can actually cut a promo, he'd be an awesome heel. Would love to see him come back and feud with Cena properly.

Still the best thing going in TNA. Sorry Broken Matt Hardy fans but Lashley is the main reason to watch Impact. He may struggle like hell in a MMA fight but in the ring, Lashley is the truth.
