Nikki Heyman in my other WM thread made me realize this. I've been to 3 Wrestlemanias in my life. 18, 20 and 29 and I just realized that it was cheaper for me to drive to Toronto for 18 stay in a hotel for the weekend and go to axcess then it was for me to drive to Jersey and go home for 29.

Did you factor in 1) the strength of the economy in 2002 vs 2013, 2) the length and size of the event in 2002 vs 2013, 3) how much further the American dollar goes in Canada?

I thought about that after I made the thread and realized the 11 year time difference and how much the economy has changed.

Certainly not, if anything it is way too cheap. I think it should cost an arm, a leg and both feet.

but you are paying for the experience of the whole weekend. youre going to one of the biggest events for your hobby. the comiccon of wrestling or superbowl or emmys or whatever. of course it could be cheaper to go to Toronto for 18 days it will also be cheaper to buy it on ppv or the network and eat wings at home with some friend or by yourself. Ive never been to wrestlemania only to axcess for WM25. I wanted to go to 30 but my friends chicken out. I think that it might be pricy but the experience makes up for it. it also sells out pretty well so theres demand for it .

That last part is especially true. It probably costed about 2 dollars and a pack of Skittles in US currency after all the conversions were done.

I actually meant that Wrestlemania 18 in Toronto where I had to drive from NY to Canada was cheaper then me going to Wrestlemania 29 in NJ when I live in NY.

Depends on what you're looking at. Prices on WWE's end aren't bad if you are not picky about seating. {Spoiler} Not counting Ticketmaster fees: $60 - Upper deck WM32 ticket. $80 - Floor seat for NXT $35 - RAW upper deck seat.
Where I got screwed was an aftermarket HOF ticket ($120 for upper deck, I think that was like $40 more than face) and parking at WM ($60). Also paid $20 for an ROH ticket.
For parking $10 (NXT) $10 (ROH) $25 (HOF) $60 (WM) $25 (RAW)
I live 90 minutes from AT&T Stadium but between gas and traffic, getting a hotel was a better option and that cost $250 I think. Only spent about $50 on food. I spent about $315 for 5 shows, that is not bad, IMO. However, throw in Ticketmaster fees, Parking, Hotel and Food I am closer to $800, probably over. The only saving grace is you typically know well in advance so you can save and plan. I cannot imagine trying to squeeze in one Axxess visit and something Wrestlecon though. Money is bad enough but the time would really be killer.

Not at all, it's only $9.99 on the WWE Network!

It's simple supply and demand.
If it was too expensive, people wouldn't buy tickets.

I looked into both Uber and Lyft to save on parking and gas even though I was in the hotel and it came out about the same or a few bucks worse, from my house wasn't even an option. Plus I am big guy so I'd need big car or SUV to be comfortable. Upper deck for RAW was fine, going live it is more about the atmosphere to me than seeing every little detail. View was good though. For WM, the view wasn't bad and atmosphere was great despite all the crap we got trying to get in and get to the seat (8 to 10 flights of stairs to the level and 2 more to the seat, that Stadium is hell).

Just remember. The most expensive ticket for Wrestlemania still wouldn't get you the worst possible seat at the Super Bowl, and thats at face value.

No, there are at least 80'000+ wrestling fans world wide willing to pay for it.
Sorry you feel so cheap about it.
