I could see him being a surprise Rumble entrant, or maybe being a one off "mystery" tag partner when the WWE is in the right spot. That's about it in terms of wrestling. More likely I could see him being brought in as a guest for their talkshows and preshows.

How could you not realize that's Batista, what with the ink and all. Speaking of which, I genuinely can't tell if it's shadows and harsh lighting or if Rey's kids lost their colouring books and just starting colouring him in.

Rey Mysterio could come back to WWE, and then immediately be out of a job for a triple Wellness violation. King of Trios?

I think Rey would be useful in terms of providing a legend for the CW division that never wrestles. He could do those panel discussions before big ppv matches with the CW title on the line and talk about the history of CW wrestling and things. Other than that I don't need to see him wrestle anymore, for the sake of his health. At the very most I'd accept one match against some young cocky heel and he has a one off match with Rey. Preferably with Rey putting him over.

I mean, I saw him in LU live a few months ago and he looked slim. Does seem like hes buffing up, but that's not say he can't slim down for a WWE run.
I think he's happy in LU right now but he's young. A WWE return/farewell is almost inevitable. Dat money. And hes adapted his style well to age.

Only if they bring back the Don't Try This At Home package. "My left knee is held together by rubber bands and paper clips!" He could do that 619 spot with Jericho where Chris would take off his mask, only this time Jericho ends up with Rey's kneecap in his hand.

Rey really adds nothing anymore. He could get the Mexican market, but only as a wrestler. Which he shouldn't be doing for the WWE. He can't really go anymore, and his health is more than questionable. But he doesn't offer much in the way of being an analyst either, because he's never had noteworthy mic skills or charisma. Maybe he could catch on with the Spanish announce team, but I feel like it would be beneath him if that makes sense.

Nah Kalisto, Mendoza, Andrade, Metalik, Dorado are younger, fresher and healthier, why bother with Rey? Because he's a legit legend and a draw for Hispanic audiences and American audiences? And making aforementioned guys THAT would be worse because...?

To be fair on that Rey pic that's just looking more bloated post-workout. If you see him actually wrestle he still has the wellness shirt. Which at least isn't as shameful as Regal's wellness onesie.

And having Rey doesn't mean that those guys would be left in the dirt. It's just that Rey still is a big star and is better than the guys on the list currently. THATS why they would still bother with him.

WWE is beneath him, he has it made in Lucha Underground. That's it guys, call it. The Lucha Underground circle jerk and reached it's epitome, we ain't gonna top this. Come the f*** on dude. You can't legitimately believe that A, WWE isn't the biggest company in the world and B, Rey's more famous there than he was in WWE. You may not like it, but dude was one of the biggest draws and merch sellers in the biggest wrestling company in the world. Lucha Underground's good, but it's reached nowhere near the exposure WWE have. I'd honestly put it 5th biggest promotion after WWE, NJPW, ROH & TNA (They're still hanging in there, mainly due to the Final Deletion saga) Anyway, on topic, I don't think Rey's a cruiserweight any more. His physique in the above picture combined with the O2 trainer mask makes him look like Bane. He's a big guy. For you.

Ugh no, he's best where he is cutting cool promos and having great matches in Lucha Underground.

They're going to bring him back at the Rumble as #30 as Vince loved the monster reaction Rey got the last time he came out at #30. People in the biz call that "good heel heat."

I feel like if WWE got Rey back they wouldn't put him in the CW. He'd most likely be put into a feud with Braun given their love of the David vs. Goliath match.
