Some interesting stuff worth discussing here I think.... I'll throw 'em in a spoiler tag just in case (first time I've posted a thread like this, so I don't wanna tread on any forum rules or anything. {Spoiler}-With very few folks reacting to Hulk Hogan showing up in WWE promotional material again, it's looking more likely he'll be back in WWE at some point soon.
-Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting Summer Rae has been missing from action because she's dealing with various injuries to her neck and back.
-WWE is apparently going to tone down the cruiserweights on Monday Night Raw, so they aren't doing as many big flips and high spots.
-Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson are expected to beat New Day for the tag team titles at Clash of Champions.
-Enzo & Big Cass vs. The Shining Stars could be added to Clash of Champions as a second pre-show match. Source Link; www.cagesideseats.com/2016/9/21/12997634/rumor-roundup-sept-21-2016-hulk-hogan-wwe-return-summer-rae-injury-cruiserweights-raw

"WWE is toning down the Cruiserweights, so expect less high spots and flips"
Why the f*** bother having them then? Like, I can appreciate a good mat wrestling match, but if I'm seeing cruiserweights, I wanna see highspots.

But with so much injury proneness (did I just make that word up? IDON'TKNOOOWWW) there's probably a higher chance of it looking and being hideous when they aren't done well.... Hardcore matches from the older days are tough as hell to watch nowadays, especially knowing of all the injuries and trauma and early deaths since, and I dare suspect some cruiserweight matches may be nearing those levels...

Yeah that was kinda what I was thinking....shit, if nothing else, "those flips n shit" are, generally speaking, what would seem to make this group of guys appeal to the casual fan. Why tone that down (except in cases of dangerously stupid spots of course)? #WWEStyle n all I guess....

This is all horrible news.
Please, don't bring Hogan back as a face. No good will come from it.
Luke and Karl as champs would be dreadful too.
The only good thing is the possibility of Enzo and Cass not being on the main show. I just realized, I'm going to see Sinbad perform live so it doesn't matter anyway. Lol.
This is all tragic news for the most part.

The part about Summer Rae is the only one that might be actual news. The rest just seems made up, and pulled out of a butt.

If you tone down the Cruiserweights, would they really be doing anything anyone else isn't already doing? We see guys doing flips and diving outside all the time; why would it be more impressive just because new people are doing it?

New Day has to win, because if The Club wins that guarantees the feud will continue.

The WWE's ring is not great for cruserweight matches, we've known that since the 90s, a lot of the moves require a smaller ring and stiffer ring ropes than the WWE use and as we saw with Sin Cara, the transition is HARD for some talents and people will crap all over them after one botch. Let's not get the torches and pitchforks out just yet and keep in mind three of the greatest cruiserweight champions were not superflippy luchadores, Jericho, Malenko and Guerrero all got over without absurd spots so there is no reason whatsoever a reduced, safer moveset will kill the division.
Save the biggest spots for the biggest matches they have and everyone will be just fine.

Before I get upset about the cruiserweights being "toned down" -- with no definition of exactly what that means or if it's true -- I think I'll wait until it actually happens rather than someone saying with no source cited that WWE is "apparently" going to do it.

Makes you think whats the point of the division when your heavyweight champion is doing the same moves.

With Paige putting up recently on her Twitter that she is going to come back to WWE when her injuries are healed...now I have to wonder which of the two appears on Raw again first, Paige or Summer.
*Remembers the days when that was NXT's top Women's feud.

At the SDlive show last night they taped a CW match and it seemed alittle more toned down.
They still did impressive athletic spots but they weren't doing springboard reverse ranas and shit like that.

The idea of the most over tag team in the company(Enzo and Cass) wrestling the least over tag team(possibly of all time) on the pre-show is baffling.

If it's a "we don't want them getting injured too fast" reason, then I understand the stuff with the Cruiserweights. That faster pace is going to cause injuries very quickly. If it's a "well they make the other wrestlers look weak" reason, then the WWE really are idiots.

AKA Vince doesn't want the cruiserweights with their flashy moved to upstage Reigns and his 20 Superman punches.

The highspot indyflip style is unsustainable working 3-4 matches a week, 52 weeks a year, it'll leave them with less of a cruiserweight division, more an injury list. I doubt the WWE would take away all of these guys movesets, but things like suicide dives which are proven to shelves people will be kept to a minimum and talent will adapt.

I'm a bit skeptical of the cruisers since WWE has zero track record of ever being able to successfully feature cruiserweight wrestling. It is a bit curious however to see that guys like Styles and Rollins (who would have been cruisers in a previous era) are now in the heavyweight division doing a lot of the same wild moves.
