Idk. Not trying to get cynical but imo I feel that this is the case. Sure RAW is boring and drags with that third hour, but imo there isn't anything cringe worthy bad as some as the IWC seems to dictate. Smackdown on the other hand seems to be gaining a whole of lot of praise. It IS better than RAW, but at the same time I'm not at the edge of my seat, or feel like I can't miss it. Am I wrong or being an anti-IWC majority opinion douche?

I've enjoyed Raw two times since the brand split and SD literally every week. I'm not going to say I hate something I don't hate or say I love something I don't love just to go along with some majority opinion. I usually hate Raw after watching it (and because of that I've stopped watching it) and feel great after sitting through SD and almost never hitting my FF button. If it wasn't for Orton/Wyatt I wouldn't have to at all.

On here, yeah but that's because some people don't understand the concept of moderation and to not take everything to the extreme.

They get what they deserve But would it be a fair question to ask how would Smackdown be received with no RAW to comapare it too? Like I enjoy talking smack a lot more than the actual show.

I LOVE EVERYTHING I DON'T HATE AND HATE EVERYTHING I DON'T LOVE No but seriously, Raw is okay. It's just that it's too long so it like, physically wears out my goodwill. Smackdown is short enough that I can maintain my level of caring throughout the show.

There ARE a few people here that have told me Raw is awesome & SmackDown blows, including a guy I know well. Its all about your tastes & talent preference. He told me he will go to a SmackDown live show & feels it will be one of the worst experiences in his life.
That's why even when we grumbled after a Raw, there are people who will give it an 8 or a 9 because it hit off what they like.
I just prefer what SmackDown offers.

Nope. Until RAW gets better, it deserves vicious seething hate. It's been proven that fans being annoyed and angry with the product presented is the only way to get anything changed on RAW.
Meanwhile, SmackDown is enjoyable. So, when you compare it to the shitty three hour block of garbage one night prior, it's easy to find ways to praise the littlest things.

Raw isn't atrocious but it's definitely not that good right now. All of their divisions are shallow and there doesn't seem to be a lot of effort towards fixing them. There's an over-reliance on comedy, they constantly pepper me with little problems that add up and irk me, like swearing consequences against Seth Rollins, which happens to be a plain old wrestling match, starting a best of seven series and announcing the vague stakes to them a couple matches into it, having Bayley earn number one contendership, then pretending it never happened, then giving it back to her again. The shows are really bad at generating interest in what's to come, everything's in the moment, a match might be good, Jericho/Owens will be funny in segments, but they're very bad at telling stories from show to show, no angles right now have all that much heat. You can tell that everything's still being made up as they go so you just have to take segments for what they are and hope for the best.
Smackdown just feels a lot more prepared, it looks like it's fun and freeing for the performers to work there and though I think people can be a bit over the top in expressing how bad Raw is, when compared to Smackdown I really can't blame them. From what I see Smackdown is easily the better show all around.

The one god awful terrible Raw that I rated a 1 aside (the Old Day Raw) I think the Raw burying has been just a slight bit extreme, but that's just opinion versus opinion. Smackdown definitely deserves the praise though. It's been consistently dope.

Without question. I'm actually finding SmackDown to be like peak era WCW. Solid cards, but I find myself not really caring about the main events.
Whereas with RAW, with little exceptions (looking at you, Old Day) I generally enjoy the show the whole way through.
Both have aspects I like and aspect I don't but on the whole, I can think of much worse ways to spend an accumulative 5 hours on Monday and Tuesday every week.

Not really or else Roman Reigns wouldn't be a top babyface. I keep telling people, stop watching this shit if you want to send a message but they don't listen.

People on FAN say negative things about Ambrose, Ziggler, Stephanie and etc and yet here's Raw getting it's own thread regarding this? It goes across the board for everything that's hated on simply because it's the internet. No offense against you OP but it's like they always say. You're never as bad as they say you are and you're never as good as they say you Raw. Raw gets a lot of hatred because people dislike it and they feel that. With that said, a lot of that hatred's over the top like the hatred for Ambrose, Ziggler and the rest because that's just how people are. We need to be getting threads on "is Ambrose too hated" or "is Ziggler too hated" or even "is Owens getting too much praise" and the rest but that's another story. I'm going off the rails right now.
Personally, I've started watching Raw less and less and frankly I say it sucks so I'm just being real with myself. It's not complete absolute hatred but for the majority of my viewing experience, it sucks.

But how would anyone even be able to post snarky comments about a shitty three hour show they can't stop watching if they stop watching it? That's the thing I don't get. Raw isn't even outright offensively bad, it's dull as shit and longer than the Nile. There's just no reason to watch it, which is why I stopped, and anything cool that DOES happen will be on YouTube immediately anyways. Smackdown isn't dull as dishwater and is an hour shorter, so it's much more palatable but even it's too long for me because I prefer my wrestling shows to be an hour or so, so again I keep up with that with YouTube highlights because the WWE's channel is pretty good about that. I've gone PPV-only for my watching though unless I have literally NOTHING else to do which is pretty much never the case.

The thing on Raw is... Is it the worst thing I've ever seen most weeks? No, not really. But it is much more irritating and boring than it probably would be as a standalone because it's the same terrible shit they've been doing for years on end and I'm completely fed up with it.
But then this is just another one of those, "Lecture people on why they're wrong to have the opinion they have," arguments. Some people hate Raw, some think it's bad but not awful, some like it, nobody's wrong to feel that way.

SD doesn't try to be edge of your seat excitement. Because of that it unfortunately doesn't have those huge jump up and down moments. With that lack of huge highs it also has a lack of huge lows as it keeps its stories a tad slower and simpler. It's very easy watching and that's why I love it. Just a simple wrestling show. Not as good as Raw when Raw is at its best, way better than Raw when Raw is doing the same old shit. That consistency is what I'm a fan of.
Raw is presented in a more crash tv style. Bigger highs when it hits, but boy when it drags, especially having three hours, it's a chore. Because of that I find it easier to only watch those high notes. For me Jericho promos, quick squash matcbes, and big title matches are usually the only things I seek out. Anything the thread mentions that sounds interesting too but it's mostly in line with what I try to catch anyways.
That's where the division comes from, the presentation I feel. I like the slow and steady feel of SD over the spin its wheels and hope for an awesome drag race stuff on Raw.
I'm hoping we get a brand PPV vs brand PPV voting thread every month, I predict the answers for that will be the opposite of the weekly shows just due to the better highs that Raw can bring.
