So... That was a thing.
It's always a weird kind of interesting when you have one of those cases of two super-talented guys who just turn out to not even slightly click together. It was probably my most looked forward to match going in but just wound up getting a sloppy mess where neither guy seemed to really know what exactly they were doing.
Though to be fair the botched DDT outside the ring was prooobably in part due to having to adjust due to the new ringpost. I'll give them that one.

I ASSUME they'll have a few more matches cause they can't not have Zayn win this feud. I mean, for f***s sake.

Sami/Cody at Roadblock again. Something just didn't click.

Sami/Cody at Roadblock again. Somefhing just didn't click. I actually started to bring that up but cut it since it felt like it was coming off like I was hating on Sami. This was very reminiscent of that match.

Sami/Cody at Roadblock again. Somefhing just didn't click. I still can't believe that they felt the need to have one of Sami's very first high profile main roster matches be a 15 minute back and forth match with someone that was a complete jobber at that point.

I could dig Sami saying 'F This' and deciding to become friends with Owens again. Heel Sami would be interesting. Also it could be gold if Jericho sticks around and they both try to one-up each other in proving how much they like KO.

Should've put Zayn over. No match at Summerslam, then a lose here stinks. He should've beaten Rusev for the title if anything.

I totally expected Jericho to win this...and I agree with it (while I was not opposed to a Zayn win either). It's basically filler until JeriKO explodes. Jericho shouldn't lose too much until that happens. Plus, Jericho deserves another main event program. Dude's had a golden 2016.
I thought the match was good...but not "Zayn vs. Jericho" good, if that makes any sense. Good match but slightly disappointing due to the participants. You know that they've got a better match in them.

Dunno why everyone's so bothered by Jericho winning, it seems pretty clear that we're in the first phase of a feud. Fairly sure Sami's gonna come out of this on top.

I figured Sami tanked it because the crowd kept doing the Ole' chants, disrespecting the Zayn character in favor of some generic indie masked guy.

Looks like they are building to a Jericho/Owens feud. I just hope we don't get KO saving Sami from a savage Jericho beatdown to start the feud. I would like to see at least a full calendar year go by before Owens and Zayn are in any way connected-plus Jericho/Owens is my favorite thing in ages and I never want it to end.

Really? This is a thread? I thought it was the best match of the night. TJ/Kendrick was the one where they weren't clicking at all.

It was not a good match. Even if they did execute it all well, it was what's become the generic WWE match. There's some complacency going on in terms of laying out matches.

Personally my issue isn't Jericho winning - think the match happening at all right now was more of a mistake than that since they didn't really have a choice but to have Jericho win with the current landscape of things. I just thought the match was a dull botchfest.

First their is no issue with Jericho winning as it was the smart booking decision if you plan on having this feud last a while but he won a shit match which did neither guy any favors.
I fully expect Sami to come out of this feud a winner but his future prospects are sort of bleak because as I brought up in the thread who the hell does he go to from here. He needs feuds from Kevin but he doesn't have anyone on the roster who he can sink his teeth in a feud with.

Sami Zayn's punches were so horrible looking in that match I thought it was Shane-O-Mac wearing a ginger Halloween beard. It looked like honestly the worst I've ever seen Zayn in any WWE match since his NXT debut.
