The 1992 Royal Rumble rumble match. Pure perfection from start to finish. .....really? I don't think many non-wrestling fans are making it through a Rumble. The two that came to my mind werealready mentioned; the X-7 ladder and the 4 way from Chikara. I'd say maybe the 2001 Rumble, because it changed up styles a few times throughout the match to keep it interesting. Had some comedy, the hardcore section, the big names mowing through people before a big ending.

The real and actual answer is... NO MATCH. If someone isn't a fan of wrestling they simply don't give a piddle about it. I don't get why people get so hung up on this.

For storyline warrior savage wm7 shows how much it meant from warrior walking to ring instead of running to macho throwing everything and it still wasn't enough to that ending savage and liz reunited.

Nick Mondo - Zandig from TOD 2
Whenever anyone watches that match for the first time, the moment they go off the roof is a holy crap moment if there ever was one.

Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan from Wrestlemania They're not wrestling fans, so of course they're gonna mark out when the match ends in 18 seconds and they can run away from your home. That's why you have to show them the match in your basement. It's harder for them to escape.

The Steiners vs. Tatsumi Fujinami, and Takashi Iizuka from Wrestlewar 92. Match is stiffer than a concrete wall.

But we're talking about an hour+ match shown to a random non-fan. Yeah, the concept helps, but 9 out of 10 of these people are going to be bored 10, 20, 30 minutes into this match.

I remember a long time ago when me and my younger cousin were watching Royal Rumble 2007, my mom actually got into it. It was during the Rumble, by the way.

Mum, who isn't a wrestling fan, began tearing up at the end of the Flair/Shawn match at WrestleMania 24 when we watched it at hers.
I've never tried to get any of my non-wrestling fan pals (ie, most of them) into it, though I find the concept of the Rumble match one the non-fans can understand why I'd be into it.

At various points in my life I've been able to get friends to watch wrestling by popping in a Royal Rumble VHS or DVD. If they're familiar with Hulk Hogan or Macho Man, I'd play an earlier Rumble and they'd mark out at guys like Earthquake or Ted DiBiase entering. Or if they like the Rock or Stone Cold, they'll be happy to see Kane or Mankind. There are guys they will cheer for and guys they will poke fun at. The 1993 Rumble works especially well for non-fans because it has familiar faces, bizarre gimmicks, and the guy who wins makes complete sense.

Shortly after it had been shown, I told a non-fan friend about the WMX ladder match. I deliberately left out the part that they could use the ladder on each other until the end, at which point he insisted on watching it.
He wasn't converted, but sat throughout the match not quite believing what he was seeing. I should have shown him some ECW when I had the chance...

2 people I work with (1 older female, one young adult male) are now fans because they showed up to my Superbowl Party early when I was showing my nephew how "awesome" the Chamber of Horrors match was.
I honestly believe that them seeing it from the "it's goofy theater" point of view rather than the classic "it's a fake sporting event" was the difference in how they perceived it.
