I can't blame him for being alittle mad honestly. Dana will lie his way through anything. Can't blame Aldo for being mad as you don't say publicly you are going to strip Connor if he doesn't defend the belt and then you book him in a diff title match

Can't blame him at all for being mad. The featherweight division as a whole can't really move with McGregor doing his own thing. The one I feel real bad for is Max Holloway. Dude wins 9 straight has every right to a title shot and if this thing with Aldo gets resolved, he'll probably get passed over for a title shot for Pettis.

Dana should've been retired along with the Fertittas. He is a PR nightmare. He is a pathological liar. He is a vindictive jerk. He is a man completely lacking in integrity. The UFC, it's fighters and its fans deserve better.

Aldo and Connor's fight can go right next to Ariel's lifetime ban. Dana's word is basically trash.

To elaborate a little on why this annoys me, one of two things happened.
Dana alluded to the fight before either having the authority to do so, either due to a Connor leverage pull or deciding the fight wouldn't do good business. In which case, he is not trustworthy because he spoke impulsively, much like he did when he revoked Ariel's press access and incurred the wrath of fans for his poor ethics. He cannot be trusted to make promises that he can keep.
Or
Dana had no real intention of following through and was merely trying to appease Aldo. He should have been frank with Aldo and not led him on, but given his douchery, he was thinking that Aldo would vent his frustrations publicly and expose that when Dana would have denied the Alvarez fight, he was intentionally lying to the press in order to try to secure a surprise match. In which case, Dana's being a scumbag and should not be trusted on that merit.
In either case, Dana is not someone you should trust at face value.

I'd bet money he won't be around a year from now. They're paying him 9% of the net profits for the next 5 years, he'll have to f*** up pretty bad for them to pay him that to sit at home and do nothing.

So the bullshit of him talking about well I'll make Connor give up the title if he wins is ridiculous. If he losses he's still the champion and now your champion has lost 2 of his last 3 fights without ever defending his title.

So the bullshit of him talking about well I'll make Connor give up the title if he wins is ridiculous. If he losses he's still the champion and now your champion has lost 2 of his last 3 fights without ever defending his title. Let's not forget that Conor beat Aldo for the featherweight title in December and he has had no intentions of coming back to 145 and defend his title but insists in keeping his belt anyways. By the looks of things, Conor keeping his title without intentions to defend it is a safety net because, if he beats Álvarez, Conor becomes a double champion and, if he loses, he's still the featherweight champion so there's still a lot of money to be made with him. The problem here is that fighters like Frankie Edgar, Max Holloway, Jeremy Stephens, José Aldo and those of their kind are waiting for somebody who won't come back and now uses the title as a perk to get more money but people sweep that aside because Conor is so damn entertaining. You can't pretend that people would give a damn about a division if its own champion doesn't care about it.

It's never going to happen, but I hope the company dies riding the back of that blow hard idiot. Conor makes me hate the UFC as a whole, and I completely tune it out when it's the time of year for him to run his mouth and "make headlines."
On that note. Go Aldo. Set a trend. Fxxx the Conor McGregor golden boy favoritism bullshit.
