Well I remember the last time WWE bought someone, Vince gloated about it on Nitro, Shane showed up to steal his thunder. So either 1 of them could. Stephanie could appear on TNA to announce it and emasculate TNA and show Dixie how a real woman does it. Maybe Triple H shows up, he's family. Or if WWE buys them, do they really never acknowledge it and just take the library and a few contracts?

I'd be shocked if they mentioned it or made a big deal(or any deal) about it on air. MAYBE a Broken Matt reference but certainly not one of the McMahon Clan showing up on a TNA PPV that gets 1000 buys. TNA has never been impactful enough(no pun intended) or a big enough deal for them to live on like ECW or WCW in some capacity/legacy.

No one. Run an article on WWE.com, maybe only a mention if the world, KO or tag champs come in. Everyone else is just a free agent.

WWE.com will have a big write up, and either JBL or Graves will be given a couple of snarky comments to say on TV. That's it. Guys will then start showing up on NXT and Raw/SD.

Yeah, if anything, whenever WWE does mention TNA it will probably be in a positive light as they'll focus more on the formative PPV years and the peak six-sided ring era. They weren't enough of a threat to take cheap shots against and I doubt they'll do it now assuming they buy. There's some good money to be made in promoting future TNA videos: The AJ Styles collection alone would recoup their purchase. Being able to show 'lost footage' of WWE superstars is another money maker. Shame that they would have to unretire Flair though.

AJ Styles, in the poeticest of justices.
Imagining him coming out with his new theme and the WWE title to tell TNA that their time is up is making me grin like a bastard.

At most I could see a Triple H cameo on Bound for Glory, though even then wouldn't count on it, followed by TNA fading away and classifying itself as obsolete.

No Way Jose will show up, dance on a grave marked "TNA" and say "Adios putos" as the last image ever seen on Impact Wrestling.

No Way Jose will show up, dance on a grave marked "TNA" and say "Adios putos" as the last image ever seen on Impact Wrestling. Then a hand comes up from the grave and pulls him under and it is the last we see of him as well. I am all for this.

Have Vanguard 1 make the announcement and declare that he now works for Vince.

There is no competition between the two other than TNA being another American wrestling company that has been on TV, so there's no reason for any WWE personality to appear on TNA whatsoever. They don't even acknowledge TNA's existence directly, whereas WCW was often mentioned and they never kept it a secret that it even existed.
What I believe would happen is there would be an article on WWE as mentioned, and then in a year or even longer we'd start seeing TNA footage added to the network, likely with no fanfare or mention whatsoever.
If WWE purchases TNA and I have no doubts in my mind that they want to solely for the tape library, it just wouldnt be a big deal. WCW had a LOT more assets wise and the tape library alone was worth a pretty penny had AOL not just wanted to wash their hands of it. WCW's trademarks were also a huge grab. TNA on the other hand are a knock off brand. They have barely any history (in comparison to what WCW was before it was WCW) and most of the talent is WWE castoffs anyway. The life's work of Abyss doesn't really matter the way the big stars of JCP/WCW does.

Why would they?
TNA is not and has never been competition.

The only reference would be a 4 man crusierweight ladder match that inexplicably has a X be the prize.

They shouldn't announce it. That would imply TNA is more important than it actually is. Just buy it and quietly bury it, other than using footage for an AJ Styles DVD.
