Because for some reason it wasn't on CBS last week, but it's back on CBS this week (and last week I think they just aired reruns of stuff on CBS Thursday). And anyway, it's a clunker of a game between the underperforming Cardinals and the just-plain-bad 49ers, which was deemed unworthy of posting the Week 5 thread, until now.
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 09TH 1:00 PM ET PATRIOTS AT BROWNS 1:00 PM ET EAGLES AT LIONS 1:00 PM ET BEARS AT COLTS 1:00 PM ET TITANS AT DOLPHINS 1:00 PM ET REDSKINS AT RAVENS 1:00 PM ET TEXANS AT VIKINGS 1:00 PM ET JETS AT STEELERS 4:05 PM ET FALCONS AT BRONCOS 4:25 PM ET BENGALS AT COWBOYS 4:25 PM ET BILLS AT RAMS 4:25 PM ET CHARGERS AT RAIDERS 8:30 PM ET GIANTS AT PACKERS MONDAY, OCTOBER 10TH 8:30 PM ET BUCCANEERS AT PANTHERS
BYE: JAGUARS, CHIEFS, SAINTS, SEAHAWKS

This is no game... it's... it's something that I thought the Geneva Conventions made illegal

From a horribly run wrestling company to a horribly run football team, the Niners just fumbled the second half kickoff away.

This game has set football back so many years, I think Fred and Barney are watching this game right now.

"This game's driving 'em to drink."
- the most apt thing Phil Simms has ever said.

I don't see Chip Kell lasting the entire year at this pace, what a wreck the Niners are...
And no, benching Gabbert wouldn't make a lick of difference, the O Line sucks, they don't have any ace recievers, the run game sucks, the Defense without Bowman is a trainwreck, this is not a matter of the Quarterback, this is a matter of almost the whole team needs to be rebuilt...

Kap's 2015 stat line vs. ARZ: 9/19 for 67 yards, 0 TDs, & 4 INTs.
As bad as Gabbert played, he still wiped the floor with Kaepernick's last game against ARZ.

And now Rich Eisen is burying Chip Kelly. Summing it up" They cannot play Kaep because he is 20lbs lighter, didn't get the playbook on time and doesn't have the reps but he is the guy that is supposed to come in to the game in an instant if Gabbert gets hurt? What sense does that make? At this point none of that makes sense."

Chip Kelly is a gimmick coach. He has his vision of how the game is to be played, and that's that. The finer details mean nothing to him.
He felt he could take the style that made him a star in college, and take it pro. The problem is that football, like every other sport, works in cycles. A style will work for a bit, and then everyone else will find a way to scout it and plan for it. Kelly has been figured out and he can't adapt.
At this point, you probably should go ahead and start Colin Kaepernick. He either takes his chance and proves himself again, or he has trouble holding onto the ball as he usually does. Either way, it wouldn't be any worse than what it is now.

I watched it last night.
Both teams forgot to play offense, then forgot to play defense, and this kept reversing polarities.
Yikes.

Your cute lil' hurry up offense might stimmy ole East Dakota State and coach Wilber taking some time off from the General Store, but once you make it to the bigs, even the lowest teams can figure out that shit quick. I just wonder how many Zach Thomas/Sabin situations there have been on one of Chip's stops. (Basically Sabin told Thomas to "Shut the f*** up" after Thomas started to mock Sabin. Thomas replied "No, you shut the f*** up, I'm a grown ass man!")

Jesus, the NFLN crew is destroying Phil Simms. About time too, dude sucks. What did they say? He was praising Blane Gabbert for being a good QB and someone you can win with and Irvin taking off his glasses and telling Simms to watch the game with him. All start tearing into Simms, you were a good QB and you would never accept that play, quit trying for talking points and call the game, and so on. It was brief but I cannot do it justice. It was stuff you usually don't see which which made it weird.

How the hell did the Giants get so many prime time games this season? Dat NFC East seems to get a lot of them.
