We joke about how somehow storylines in TNA mirror WWE in this ironic fashion but majority of the time it's not ironic but purely blatant. Name times it was blatant in your eyes and no excuses can be made about them ripping off a WWE event or storyline.
Obviously first example is when Eric Young was given the title right after the Daniel Bryan win. Having him fight through the gauntlet and defeat Magnus was as blatant as you can get.

That time they had AJ Styles and Kurt Angle do an embarrassing re-enactment of the Montreal Screwjob and made it in to an angle about Earl Hebner that got dropped in a few weeks.

I'm pretty sure TNA ripoff a couple taker/kane/mankind storyline for Abyss. Abyss is a total rip off of Kane and Mankind. Only angle he had that wasn't zerox from Kane was him becoming Joseph Park. It predated Corporate Kane by a couple of weeks.

According to the loltna wiki, TNA ripoff the Montreal Screwjob multiple times before, and almost every one of them involved Earl Hebner in one way or another.

Shit was f***ing rough, especially if you actually liked him beforehand.

I remember people justifying it because Sting was the payoff. 2/21/11 was about Undertaker but people also assumed Sting would be involved even though Sting was still in a TNA contract.

They didn't know how to end it. It was like "Lost" where you went from being in rapture with it all to end this shit already. The best part was how he got progressively fatter and sadder as the angle went along. Starts with him being relatively slim and having the belt, ends with him being gigantic and walking away like sad Hulk.

The one that made me the absolute angriest was the Eric Young thing. WWE do this story line that had been built for a LONG TIME with Bryan being told he's not good enough, not being put in the rumble etc and the fans really lobbying for him, getting behind him and being emotionally invested in his success. TNA ignores this, says "Oh, us too" and just jumps on it. Pisses me off to this day.
Gail Kim and Lei'D Tapa was a rip off of AJ Lee and Tamina Snuka as well. WWE had them form together in September 2013 and TNA said "us too" a month later in October.

They even had Angle spit on Hogan. It was embarrassing. When Gaburick started booking we had Eric Young ripping off Daniel Bryan and also Black Evolution with MVP, Kenny King, and Lashley.

They didn't even try to hide that, because they even did the Evolution like poses. Immortal was trying to be the modern NWO. 3/3/11 Another reason why it was justified was the fact it did boast TNA ratings that week.
