Sorry I had a brain fart. I meant the podcasts/articles were saying Zibanejad and the 26th or 28th to Montreal for the third pick. I agree it’s a pipe dream but never know with a desperate GM - Bergevin knows his clock is ticking. Price’s contract kicks in and they don’t have a C at all. Montreal’s market is almost as bad as Toronto’s with trade speculation and with their four 2nd round picks this year they could bundle those to look to move up to higher draft picks as well. Patches is likely going to be traded at the draft too which could bring back another first rounder and prospects.
That’s what I’m hoping with Edmonton and Zucc too. Veteran player that’s been the Rangers leading scorer for some time now. All the playoff experience too. Could look appealing to Edmonton - with McDavid or Leon his numbers could go a lot higher as well. Chiaerlli needs to do something big (although he could still end up with a stud right away with how deep the draft is) and he doesn’t mind giving up young guys. If they don’t make the playoffs next year he’s gone for sure. Ah the fun of speculation!!
And yeah, Chytil and Andersson are going to be studs. Brett Howden I think will be very good too. If the Rangers remain at 9 I hope they get Noah Dobson. I watched the Memorial Cup this year and he’s going to be REALLY good. He’s stock probably went up though and don’t know if he’ll be available at 9.

Ala his Drouin deal, Drouin looked awful most of the year and is clearly a failed experiment at C. They could do better at 3 than Zibs, but it all centers around who is made available. If he's the best C, could happen. Dobson probably goes higher, but the 5-12 area is probably gonna get shuffled up a few times before draft day. The Rangers are in a good spot though, right before a drop-off in quality.

Glad to see the Caps finally put that history of choking behind them and get a cup. Sharks, you're next!

Damn it. Was really hoping that midnight would not come for Cinderella.
Oh well. Capitals had to break the Legacy Of Failure eventually.

Being from Virginia, this is something I never thought I would see. Capitals have fallen short so many times and they were not expected to make a deep run this season. DC is absolutely lit right now, hoping this can motivate my Redskins to try and make a run.

Funny thing is I can't find a single incident of people rioting in DC after this Stanley Cup win. My friend and I were expecting at least one incident of people overturning a car.
