Of course Kari Lehtonen plays his best game of the season like if he was 1997 Hasek. f*** these are some heart breaking losses lately

Avs won an OT game. Not that they scored the goal the Jets did it for them. And Duchene has a head injury, so even better.

I'm seeing it, but I don't believe it. Michael Grabner has 9 goals so far this season.

Oilers playing some great hockey. Run into a hot goalie and refs don't call out any playoffs. Every teams defense strategy is to do interference on McDavid because refs don't call it because they don't want to seem bias favoring star power so every team does it.

Rangers clobber the Canucks 7-2. Their goal differential (+34) is bigger than the number of goals Buffalo (30) and Colorado (31) scored.

The Oilers are -40 in shot differential in all the games won this year but are a combined +39 in shot differential in all games lost this year. Seriously what the f***?!

Same leg as the one he broke. And people were questioning last season if that injury regressed him because he is moving a lot slower than he used too

How long has Byfuglien been so crappy? Moves slowly, can't get tackles and doesn't produce enough points to compensate on his sloppy defensive play. Wouldn't get any playing time in Columbus with the performances I've seen from him.

The Blues have seemed to turn things around as of late and playing better Hockey.

-The Blues and Oilers are WC level teams who are going to have ebbs and flows of the hockey season.
-I really liked Allen heading into the season, but man, he sucks. His rebound control is atrocious and he's often badly out of position. Like, not even in the crease anymore out of position.
-We looked so much better without Steen. That guy looks like trash this year.
-Ryan Reaves of all people looks like a top 9 forward. That sentence shouldn't make any sense. But our big enforcer is turning into a great passer with great puck possession. Offensively, he's outplayed any number of skilled Blues so far this year (Fabbri, Yak, Perron, Stastny.)

The reason why McDavid is second in the league in most penalties drawn is because literally 50% of the time the refs don't call the interferences on him. It's setting up a dangerous predicament. The best defense against a McDavid breakout is just trip him or interfere against him. It's only going to be called 50% of the time.

At least's he's not Johnny Hockey with the broken finger. There seems to be an adjustment period before you start getting the calls that the Crosbys, Kanes, and Thorntons get.

So the first game of the home-and-home series between the top 2 teams of the Metro division went to the Rangers as they beat the Pens 5-2. 10th time in 20 games that they've scored 5+ goals.

The Las Vegas team will officially announce its team name tonight. It will either be Silver Knights (my favorite), Golden Knights, or Desert Knights (my least favorite, but the one speculated to win).
