Any thoughts on Zadorov's hit on Scheifele? First one was a great hit. Schiefele thought he was going to back up and respect his ability and Zadorov just steps up into him. The second one seemed like Zadorov was trolling for a big hit. It was definitely charging. Still, the friggin Jets always throw around big hits and chippy play. For a team that does that, they sure do fight a lot of guys over good or non-egregious hits. Hell, the pass on the 2nd hit is what put him in danger. They should fight the guy who put him in such a bad position if anything.

Was watching with a friend whose initial comment was "that's a suspension". My thoughts were basically the same as yours: a charging, sure, but nothing more. And about that pass thing: Laine got his concussion because of Scheifele giving him a pass that put him in danger.

The sourceFabbri is a big lost for this team. I know he only one player but he was one of the plus on this roller coaster of a team. I feel it is now time to start making moves for next season. Trade who we can to free up cap space so on the off season we can sign someone who can improve this team. It's clearly shown how Backes and Brower was two much to handle for this team. Elliot hasn't done great to say he would been a better case. Armstrong really put this teams several steps back from last year and even the years prior, I blame him over anybody at this point. He gave long term bigger contracts to the wrong players and now we are for two seasons at less stuck with him unless Vegas picks one of them.

Yeah, sadly if we hadn't signed that Lehtera extension, we probably could have kept Backes. Which who knows how that would have went. Fabbri is a gigantic loss. He's our best offensive player outside of Tank. We need to trade Shatty yesterday. This team isn't going anywhere. Trade anybody you can not named Petro/Parayko/Reaves/Barbashev.

Fired during the same time The Patriots parade lol. Future Vegas coach. He may have stayed past his expiration date but it's stupid to fire a coach this part of the season when they might still be in a playoff position and are the top possession team in the league. Like yeah they probably won't make it to the playoffs this year and probably be a 9th/10th/11th seeded team in the EC but I can see the Bruins having a historic collapse to finish this season now.

That crossed my mind, that somehow the Patriots win influenced this decision. Anyway, we've seen NHL team cut coaches at various times during a season and somehow improve, so there's still a chance.

I agree but someone or a couple are going to be draftable for the Vegas team. Which what I said, Reaves is on that list. That another thing to think about on moves. The team can still be good again next year but a few roster moves need to happen, Armstrong needs to either go and get his head out of his you know what. Sign players that fits in with Yeo style. That what needs to happen is getting the team built around the style. I feel that why this team did so bad compared to last season is Hitch had a team last year that fit his style. This year two main key players went. You had two coaches in the bench with Hitch and Yeo who while respected each other, Still had two different styles. Armstrong didn't do anything to fit either way. The following players are not under contract next season, Shattenkirk (UFA), Berglund (UFA), Yakupov (RFA), Upshall (UFA), Agostino (RFA), Paajarvi (RFA), Parayko (RFA)

Plus this is suppose to be The weakest draft year in a long time. Like f***ing Bob MacKenzie called Nolan Patrick projects to be a second line center kind of player. Like ouch...

Word has leaked out that the Devils are going to change AHL affiliates from Albany (which they used to be in as the River Rats back in the day before returning from Lowell, MA in 2010) to Binghamton, NY. Not terribly far away, but it'll be a bit awkward this season when Albany and Bing play each other.
On the bright side, that means if I'm in the mood for a short road trip I could hit up the Devils' AHL affiliate and the Mets' AA one in the same city, I guess? I've heard from some fans who've said that hanging around for a game in Albany has gotten better in the past few years, but that place, no matter which team has been there, has just never had very good attendance. Anybody here have favorite spots to go to see minor league hockey?

Jaskin offers a lot of nothing, it would be a godsend if they took Lehtera's contract, we won't sign Yak to a QO. So protect Steen, Stas, Schwartz, Tank, Perron, and Reaves. Probably Jaskin for the last spot. As bad as we are at center, Lehtera is a horrible contract and we'd be lucky if they took him. Reaves gives us an identity on the 4th line and is growing by leaps and bounds. I'd say keep Berglund easily, but as a UFA, it doesn't matter. Yak, as much as I haven't bought people saying it all along, is probably going to the KHL.

I hope Yak succeeds in the KHL and maybe makes a great comeback story like Radulov is doing this season one day. But yeah I think he needs to go to the KHL to succeed in his hockey career.
I never seen a man so chill when I was only few feet away from hitting him with my car and ending up in sports center and possibly in jail.

Yak, as much as I haven't bought people saying it all along, is probably going to the KHL. Yak is going to be interesting because he made 2 million this year. What we got out of him is 2 million better used else where. The first couple games this season he showed skill. All I've seen now is yeah he's fast but thats it. Now the the situation as changed a lot for the Blues. They winning 3 games on the road with two being shutouts. 4 out of 5 over all. They went from hanging by a thread in making the wildcard to third place in the division currently holding the top Wild card. The overall performance of the team has changed a lot. They are faster, more aggressive and Allen is looking like a different Goalie since Yeo came in, and in a good way. I believe Bordeur figure out his issue. If they can play this style the rest of the year they will win a lot more games then loss. Not saying Stanley Cup in any means but if they make it to the playoffs that can be a whole new situation, because anything can happen. Right now I am taking it as ok guys you found something that is working, keep building off the positives. I am thinking the coaching situation help, one style and clearly they want to be harder for Yeo then Hitch as oddly that sounds but Hitch lost the team, Yeo seems to put a new spark into them.
