That is a lot of Canadian teams! I'm okay with Edmonton being the lone Western Representative. I don't mind Winnipeg.

He's constantly making bad plays at both ends and when he isn't, he tries to act tough. Can't really understand why Buff has been kept in the first power play unit and Laine was dropped to second unit for a long time.

Rangers win 4-2 for their 5th-straight win. And Henrik Lundqvist becomes the 12th goalie in NHL history to win 400 games.

He didn't get the huge, near immovable contract Phaneuf got. But both were big dudes, total game changers at times. Buff might bounce back when he gets a change of scenery, but more declining would not surprise me a bit.

Second time this happened. Julien replaced Therrian once before in 2002-03. This is just madness. Like only in Montreal you fire your head coach who is coaching a team with a strong division lead, replaced one of the most popular players because he didn't fit your system, possibly actually winning said controversial trade, and still fire him because another highly touted coach who can French got fired. Literally the only requirement of getting hired in Montreal. I guess Bodereau never took MTL seriously and Guy Boucher was too much of an unknown commodity. I hope Boston hires Michelle Therrian now. But kudos to Boston for giving Montreal permission to speak to Claude Julian. Especially during this late in the season toward there most hated rival and Boston is still fighting for a playoff spot.

Yeah, Buff can play forward. Just seems like too often that comes first to him and defending is just something he _might_ do.

I wasn't trying to compare their games, just saying that they're on similar career paths. Worse move by Boston, firing Julien mid-season or letting Montreal sign him? Julien is a good coach, I'd take him over Hitch or Yeo all day. Firing him to me is understandable just if they feel like he lost the lockerroom or they just needed to shake things up. But don't let him sign in-Conf if you don't have to.

But it would look really bad for The Bruins if they didn't at the time let the longest tenured coach seek immediate employment especially a coach who won them a cup, two cup appearances, and a Presidents Trophy. Like if I was a high ranking coach or GM or scout I would be very wary of signing The Bruins if that's how they treated one there most beloved coaches ever

I find it pretty damn amusing Brandon Manning is like the most famous opposing player in Edmonton. You just should of never said you broke McDavids collarbone on purpose

Rangers have announced that next season, they will be retiring #19 for Jean Ratelle. Currently, it's being used by Jesper Fast.

Bobby Ryan is out indefinitely and Ottawa loses 3 out of its top 6 forwards in one game while Mark Stone is on a hot streak and Ottawa begins a 4 game road trip. That's rough

That Trouba hit on Stone is THE hit the NHL needs to take out of the game. I always hate playing the Jets lately, because they take a few liberties. Trouba has a number of questionable hits on his record with no suspensions. He probably gets nothing here either, because who really cares? Not the NHL.

Bruins are 4-0 under Bruce Cassidy. Early sample, but he's tweaked the offense and suddenly, they look like a different team
