The GoldenKnights won their 22nd home game tonight, tying the 1979-80 Whalers for most in an inaugural season in NHL History.

This is real nice. Indy's already down 3-0, and 10 minutes haven't passed.

Every night, the GoldenKnights grab another expansion-team stat, or that's what it feels like...
Tonight's? This is their 18th game this season with 5+ goals. That surpasses the 1992-93 Lightning for most such games by an expansion team in its first season.

I'm almost tempted to call them Cup contenders. Only reason I'm not yet is because I want to see what happens come crunch time.

I don't know if I can deal with this.
We've turned into the Patriots of the NHL, and even dragged the VGK into our skulduggery to f*** over Winnipeg.
Eh, I'll get over it.

Knights also got Ryan Reaves now. So they added one of the best enforcers in the game today IMO. Honestly The Blues are missing him a lot because he always made the line up because he had skill.

Yesterday, the Devils and Rangers made the first trade between each other since the former first established themselves as the New Jersey Devils.
Michael Grabner is also the 11th NHL player to play for all 3 teams in the NYC Metro Area (Rangers, Devils, Islanders).

Speaking of Devils, tonight is the night they hang Patrik Elias' #26 in the rafters.

Knights also got Ryan Reaves now. So they added one of the best enforcers in the game today IMO. Honestly The Blues are missing him a lot because he always made the line up because he had skill. The 4th line was sometimes our best line the past 2 seasons. It has been atrocious this season. We miss him badly. We're also falling out of the playoff race. The bottom two lines, the defense, and Jake Allen are all playing atrocious, but other than that things are good. On Reaves, he is the unquestioned heavyweight champion of this era. Only Lucic and Buff could give him a go, and Lucic has ducked in past.

Speaking of Devils, tonight is the night they hang Patrik Elias' #26 in the rafters. Elias and Rafalski were the unsung heroes on those contending and champion teams. Stevens, Niedermeyer, and Brodeur were the better players obviously, but Elias always came through in the clutch.

I've always been a huge Elias fan and Rafalski was excellent during his time here. Loved Patty's speech tonight. He thanked Ricki Lake and Jenny Jones because their TV shows helped him learn English. lol
And they honor Elias by winning against the Isles tonight 2-1. Devils are 5-0-0 in games where they retire a number, and they won each game with a different goaltender.
Scott Stevens - Martin Brodeur Ken Daneyko - Scott Clemmensen Scott Niedermayer - Johan Hedberg Martin Brodeur - Cory Schneider Patrik Elias - Keith Kinkaid

Speaking of jersey retirements, Jean Ratelle will have his #19 retired by the Rangers tonight.
