Didn't watch and won't be able to catch it or the Survivor Series for like almost two weeks. How was it?

Idk why, but I was thinking about this match at work and for some reason I started thinking Joe would win. I kinda brushed it off, but sure enough here we are.

Didn't watch and won't be able to catch it or the Survivor Series for like almost two weeks. How was it? On the whole very good. Three great matches, one that's kind of debatable how people felt about it, and the one outright bad match wasn't very long.

Nifty. Maybe I'll sneak and watch it without my kids then... Tag match is five stars no doubt. Somehow Revival raise it up a notch every Takeover. PPV as a whole I would say is 8.5/10 with mickie and Asuka having a really good match

I'm way too happy that DIY actually won.
It'll mean more for the turn when Gargano is the reason they lose to the AOP.

Started the show from the beginning.
Booby Roode has the Glorious Tabernacle Choir.
Why he's wasting a WestleMania entrance on a Takeover is beyond me...

Do definitely have to think Joe's losing the belt back sooner rather than later, like to the point even waiting until January seems too long. Him winning it was the right call for the story being told and for Nakamura's character to be easier to root for after spending the last seven months basically invincible, but not really sure where anyone individually goes from here with the only real main event presence besides those two being Roode who's heel and mostly heels in the NXT midcard. Plus two straight feuds of Joe facing the same person in the main event of every Takeover for six months straight is an exhausting idea.
And speaking of NXT really should introduce a midcard belt at this point since the mid-level guys basically have nothing to do a tall when it comes time for Takeover, and related to that I really think they should do six of those a year instead of four.

Yeah, that's balanced.

I just got back from the show and I thought it was pretty great on the whole.
I thought the crowd chanting "10" for every ref count outside the ring was hilarious.
The tag title match was one of the best matches I've ever seen live. Just outstanding. The crowd was great. I maintain the Shatter Machine might be the best-looking finisher in pro wrestling. That has to be in the MotY conversation.
A funny note about the Dusty match: The giant crane Ellering was suspended from did nothing. The cage was actually secured independently and was a good foot away from the crane. The TV shot never showed you the top, so you couldn't tell.
I dunno if it came off on TV, but when Joe used the crossface, a group of people started a "Chris Benoit" chant that got booed quiet.
Crowd was legitimately shocked at the title change, so there was a bit of a delayed reaction, but it would have been so stupid to have Nakamura kick out of a kick to the junk, uranage on the steps and then a Muscle Buster.

Melbourne show is having something taped for the Network. So is Japan. They had an ad for it on NXT this week. Had no idea about this!

I honestly think this may have been the best match Tye Dillinger has ever had. At least the greatest I've seen him have.
Really think he needed the win more.
The crowds love him wherever they go. I just don't understand why they don't pull the trigger on him.

I think WWE's ingrained this style of commentary in them too much that it's easy to forget at this point. Attitude Era JR would have told Joe to "burn in hell, you sick sonuva bitch!" At the very least, when Backlash had a similar dick kick finish, Mauro seemed quite annoyed about it, as did JBL.

Some live thoughts from me: - The crowd was also doing the "10" thing even during the main when both men were down in the ring and the ref was counting them down. - Right close to me were a bunch of guys dressed in Glorious robes. They were more than happy when Roode got the win. - During the pre-show, I think the fans were booing during the ad for WWE figures when the Roman Reigns action figure was shown winning the match. - That 2/3 falls match was GOAT as shit. Everything after the tying fall was outstanding.
