I don't watch them much, but I caught an error on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire a couple of weeks back-and the mistake cost a guy the game, I tweeted the mistake and proof to them on Twitter, but no one responded, and had it been me, I would have fought it there onstage-The question was, out of the 4 songs they listed, which had less than 20 distinct words in the song-they claimed the correct answer was "You Are So Beautiful" which was made famous by Joe Cocker, but was written and originally performed by Billy Preston-they didn't specify that it was Joe's version, and more often than not, if you gooogle it, it is Joe's version BUT the song itself has much more than 20 distinct words and a couple of extra verses.
It annoys me they ignored this-I mean money was at stake here.
Any mistakes you've found? Was anything done about it?

I was watching a Richard Dawson Family Feud just yesterday with a questionable X. The question was "Name a complaint someone might have about their apartment." The first family buzzed in and said "Music too loud" and it got an X. At the end of the question, turns out that the #1 answer was "Noise/noisy neighbors." I feel like that should've counted and I think it would've counted in today's game because they're more willing to give you the answer if they're close enough.

I remember on a Barker-era Price is Right when someone used 2 spins to get a dollar on the wheel. Bob said it totaled 95 cents and was never corrected.

I joked "Debbie doesn't really exist, does she? You just wanted another kiss. "

I don't remember the specifics, but I do remember seeing a question on Who Wants to be a Millionaire that the right answer was wrong on.

I have actually seen a lot of cases of this on current Family Feud.

A well known example:
Look up goofs on Password too...especially Password Plus and Super Password. Tom Kennedy and Bert Convy were infamous for accidentally giving away puzzles.

very recently on a UK episode of The Chase, the question was asked - Who did Darth Vader cut the hand off of in Return Of The Jedi?, obviously a very minor one but it stood out to me because of the geek I am.

On an episode of The Dating Game one female chose serial killer Rodney Alcala. That sounds like a mistake

Gosh, that made Password so fun. It was like everyone was chums and just happened to get together for board game night in front of cameras. And then, the professionalism of how they all respected one another on cam is another thing I long from those days of yore. Great balance of wacky and dignified. On the note of of actually catching mistakes on trivia shows, it's rare because there are inquiries available for contestants and those are edited from broadcast to make the games seem mor flawless. Many times, after the break, it's not the judges that fixed the mistake in retrospect, it's the judges validating a protest or complaint during one of the game breaks that are never seen on camera.

Another PYL gaffe, three contestants said Slyvester but Peter Tomarkin said that Daffy Duck was the correct answer, the mistake prompted Mel Blanc to call in the show in his Slyvester voice and explain the mistake.

Another Millionaire gaffe, "What band was performing when the Woodstock 99 riots broke out?" The correct answer is Red Hot Chili Peppers, the show said it was Metallica.

Saw one on Who Wants to be a Millionaire but didn't catch it then, only to read about it being a mistake later.
Question was "What is the lowest possible number of strokes you need to make to win a set in tennis?" Their answer was 24. Should've been 12.

On the WWE episode of The Weakest Link, Triple H was scored wrong for saying that Thanksgiving is in October. Since he is Canadian, his answer was correct.
