I'd make a poll, but I'm sure I'd leave something off. Anyway, I've been listening to Dookie a lot lately after having not listened to it for a long while. It's an incredible album, but not sure if it's my favorite from that year. That year is really tough to pick from!

"Smash" by The Offspring, which is also my favorite album of all time. And, to this day, the best-selling independent album of all time.

There really was a ton. The fanboy in me would say Nine Inch Nails' the Downward Spiral, but there's so much:
Nine Inch Nails- The Downward Spiral Manic Street Preachers- The Holy Bible Hole- Live Through This Portishead- Dummy Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds- Let Love In Tori Amos- Under the Pink Alice in Chains- Jar of Flies the Notorious B.I.G- Ready to Die Nas- Illmatic Pavement- Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain Soundgarden- Superunknown Oasis- Definitely Maybe Blur- Parklife
And so on and so on
