It is a bit more expensive but I would move them out to Cali which is a crazy hot wrestling scene right now...or maybe Vegas. Either way sucks to see them continually have this issue loved their last show and hope this gets resolved sooner than later. I don’t think they’d ever do that. The owners are based in Austin and they’ve also played up Austin being very important to them (like that charity auction they had benefiting a local animal shelter).

Yeah their web page says there is an event tomorrow, but that is just hyping their last event back in March. Their last significant tweet is also just saying there will be no shows until they find a venue.

Yeah, the "home" venue, 800 Congress, doesn't want to be known as a wrestling venue, the Travis County Expo Center didn't have a dressing area or internet access and the gym they used once doesn't have adequate A/C. The rest of the locations won't take wrestling and they've been open about not being wanting to lie and call it MMA or a mixed card.

Any more updates on these guys?
It looks like the company is done for, which is a shame. From all accounts they were really good to their talent and paid them well. The only complaint I heard was from Jack Evans, but that seemed to do more with his off the grid lifestyle.
I hope they go the MLW route and find a niche they can excel in that doesn’t involve actually running regular shows. Not podcasting like MLW did, but if they could find something they could really own and grow that way that would be cool. That is of course much tougher than it sounds to find an overlooked niche. Perhaps if they did though then like MLW they could come back sometime down the line.

Man, it's sad if this company died because of something as out of their control as being stuck in venue hell.

Man, it's sad if this company died because of something as out of their control as being stuck in venue hell. It really is the first thing though when being a promoter: Have a venue first. The main guy running it works in corporate communications though which pays really well. Maybe one day he can retire early and if he really wants to do it just for the love of the business he can get back to it. Really there doesn’t seem to be any money in wrestling and instead it’s just who can lose it the slowest. WWE earns huge, but they are about it. Everyone has to weather some major storms before they turn any kind of profit and even then it isn’t usually much.

I've heard about the health issues of the promoter, which is apparently the main reason they can't focus their attention on running wrestling shows anymore.
And I know they had venue issues also, but any time a promotion uses that as an excuse for not running shows, it's really a cop out for being lazy. Unless the shows are some crazy violent style that no venue is willing to rent their location out for (in that case it's actually hard to find a place to run), all it takes to "get a venue" is to look for one, and then pay the rent. VFW halls, National Guard Armories, gymnasiums, recreation centers, theaters, you name it. They can and will hold pro wrestling if you want to rent their place out.
I guess due to his health issues, in the case of WrestleCircus they couldn't actively try to do things like find/rent alternate venues. Understandable.
