Supersweet, we know very well you're taking advantage of the legit name of a music genre, much like you did with your thread about Kevin Owens being creampied. This thread can stay open as long as it focuses on the actual music. But moving forward, that's enough with your silly word play and double entendres.

Supersweet, we know very well you're taking advantage of the legit name of a music genre, much like you did with your thread about Kevin Owens being creampied. This thread can stay open as long as it focuses on the actual music. But moving forward, that's enough with your silly word play and double entendres. Yeesh do I have to explain every boring origin before you openly shame for having sinister double entredre's motives? Well here you go. On my way home from work I heard Puddle of Mudd's - Spaceship as the weird track of the day for the first time in a long time on the radio. A song that used to be played in heavy rotation during my college years and it got me thinking there was this weird influx of a second or third wave of cock rock style of songs being played all over the radio during my senior year and college years (2007-2010) with Puddle of Mudd, Buckcherry, My Darkest Days, Theory of a Deadman, Nickleback, etc. Hell even many pop songs played up heavily aggressive on common heterosexual male girl on girl fantasies like Katy Perry's "I Kissed a Girl" or Shiny Toy Guns "Le Disko" or Lady Gaga's "Poker Face", etc. Or even the psycho, crazy, stalking, overly sexed up chick fantasies. And it got me thinking there really isn't many cock rocking hyper male masculinity sexually charged music being played that much on the radio or rock radio stations anymore. But in a new interesting twist there is a lot of hyper aggressive sexually charged songs being done from a female's point of view like That Exes and Oh's song from Elle King that was played everywhere last year. So for the last time before you shame me out in the open out again for saying a naughty word in appropriate music discussion that you're all so reluctantly allowing to happen even though it's within board rules, is there any modern day cock rock songs anymore? And by modern I mean 2007 to present. But extra bonus points if it's 2010 or after.

Honestly though it doesn't totally fit because its a female lead singer Halestorm fits this genre pretty damn good.

Airbourne have a lot of what you're looking for. Aww, thanks a goddamn bunch. I'd just forgotten about Airbourne. I freaking hated them, they were like a low rent AC/DC. And I hate AC/DC enough without having the cheap version bouncing around. Pretty sure the lead singer was incapable of wearing a shirt, and they seemed to play that "TOO MUCH, TOO YOUNG, TOO FAAAAAAAST" song all over the place when it came out.

I... I guess I've heard of Cock Rock, but I thought it had to do with playing the guitar naked and... stuff I learned something today. And apparently there's Cock Rock I really like, just didn't know that was it's genre

Me and my girl went to see Judas Priest in Vegas two years ago, and had the misfortune of sitting through Steel Panther. They're a retro act, over the top sexual etc etc etc.
In addition, there's also The Darkness, from about ten years ago, and their song Thing Called Love.

I knew "butt rock" as a genre, but not so much cock rock. The more you know. You mean how almost every pop song and rap song the last few years have been about ass? All about that Bass, Anaconda, Dance, etc
