249.99 with one controller and nunchauck, Wii sports ( now including boxing, and bowling with baseball golf and tennis)
Zelda and Excitetruck seem to be the only Nintendo luanch games
500 Wii points for NES games, 800 Wii Points for SNES games, 1000 Wii points for N64. I guess 100 points equals a dollar
extra contoller 40 and an extra 20 for the nunchauck (60 dollars what a rip)
Metroid Prime 3 delayed til 07
zelda for the gamecube is delayed to Dec 11th (what a dirty thing to do)
Any questions?

Can't wait till it comes out.
I'm not liking one controller though. Why must they always makes us buy the 2nd one?

There are other 3rd party release titles as well, most notably Red Steel. But I can't wait. I'll probably drop a ridiculous amount of money into the Virtual Consol though.
Plus new Zelda..........................*drool*

Expensive?
$250 is about as cheap as you are going to get a system at launch. And new systems rarely give you two controlers. Plus you get a game with the new system. It's better than the $600 for a PS3 which gives you 0 games.

Sonofoabitch, you got yours in before me, eh, well here's what I typed out... Nintendo had a press conference for the Wii today, here are the details... Release Date: US - November 19th, 2006, Japan - December 12th, 2006 Price: $249.99 Comes With: System, Proper Attachments (TV stuff, Sensor Bar), 1 Wiimote, 1 Nunchuck attachment, Wii Sports (Boxing, Baseball, Golf, Tennis, Bowling) Virtual Console Details: Virtual Console will start out with 30 titles available, 10 more released each month. Will use a system like the XBox Live Points, but a bit simpler (100 Wiipoints = $1). NES Games - 500 Wiipoints ($5), SNES Games - 800 Wiipoints ($8), N64 Games - 1000 Wiipoints ($10)... No price point announced for Sega or TG16 games. Wiipoint Details: Just like XBox Live Points, you can purchase Wiipoints online or in stores ($20 Card, 2000 Wiipoints). So far, they've only announced the points going towards Virtual Console Games. The Wiipoints will also use exchange rates in other countries like Mexico and Canada based against the USD. Prices for Games/Controller: Games will top out at $50 ($10 less than competitors) but the controller is a bit more on the expensive side. The Wiimote itself will be $40 and the Nunchuck attachment is separate at $20, so $60 for a full controller (although not all games will support or use both). Launch Games: 25 Titles are confirmed for launch. Super Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime 3, and Super Smash Bros. Brawl are all not coming out until 2007 though. Other Details: The Classic Controller will go on sale alongside the system but has not been priced. Wii Channels: There will be 10 Wii Channels (Like the X360's blade system) and they are as follows... Wii Channel - Play Wii or Gamecube Game in System. Store Channel - Where you will be able to buy Virtual Console games. When you buy a game, it will automatically show up as it's own Channel. Mii Channel - A Mii is a 3D avatar that you can create that will actually be stored on the controller itself. The Mii will idly walk around menus, or show up in games that support the Miis (such as Wii Sports). You can also take your Mii and have him infest your friend's Wiis, and your Mii will show up in their Mii supported games also. Photo Channel - When an SD card is inserted with photos, the photos will automatically be loaded into this channel where you can view and alter them instantly into games (like puzzles). Video Channel - Same as photo channel, but with Videos. News Channel - Self explanatory, a place where you can get news. Weather Channel - Self explanatory, a place where you can get the current weather. Message Board Channel - You can send messages to other Wii owners, PC owners, or Cell Phones. You can also send photos. Always-On 24 Channel - Automatically downloads updates, etc. Internet Channel - Self explanatory, although you must buy the Opera Browser separately. But yeah, that's the gist, who else is excited!!!!!

To Sinister1, I can only assume that since they announced the price and release date, if not this week, by next week you should be able to have definite pre-orders at Gamestop and stuff...

Does anybody see the crazy ebay nonsense happening has did with the XBox 360? And hell, I'm ALOT more interested in the Wii than the 360. If I had money laying around I wouldn't mind a 360 but otherwise I can live without it. Can't wait to play Wii games on my 52" widescreen. Should be fun.

Nintendo usually knows enough to make their hardware come in decent supply.
