I'm just glad even his fans are finally accepting that the reason he acts like a twat might not be some genius PR move, but more because...he's a twat.

I'm a huge Kanye fan, but I can't defend some of the things he's said over the years and some of his behaviour.
It seems now that he might be suffering from some kid of mental illness, so I truly hope the guy gets the help that he needs.

I'm definitely not a doctor but as someone who is bipolar, Kanye is almost the textbook manic depressive, and I would not be shocked if he were to be diagnosed as such in the near future. Unfortunately people still don't have much sympathy for mental illness, not that it's a get out of jail free card. Kanye has some of the worst detractors so I don't see any news like that changing their mind regardless, because his existence alone is offensive to them.

Dude's a straight up ass. Albeit a talented ass. I still hope he gets some real help.

Unfortunately people still don't have much sympathy for mental illness, not that it's a get out of jail free card. Kanye has some of the worst detractors so I don't see any news like that changing their mind regardless, because his existence alone is offensive to them. In essence, I agree with the manic depressive thing. I've got an MS i psychology, and what i see is this. You've got someone with a creative talent, music in this case, but who has lived the majority of his life (at least half of it) in a bubble where his talent is utilized as both an "out clause" for him and a crutch for those around him. This means that there is a built in excuse for him emotionally when he runs across those outside of his bubble, because "they don't understand" or "are jealous". SO we have a guy who has the swings between "all is amazing" and "I can't take this" that goes with manic depression, with the peaks and valleys being influenced both by his "chosen" surroundings and the at large public who are "outsiders". The guy is basically bipolar on fast forward.

I think somewhere along the way, to put this in wrestling terms - Kanye worked himself into a shoot.
I feel like he was trolling for a long time with the "crazy guy" stuff, once he realized he could say outlandish stuff and people would still support him, or in many cases, he would become even more popular (after the Bush/Swift incidents) but it feels like burning the candle at both ends with music/fashion/whatever other stuff he has going on, along with trying to keep up this persona of his, has legitimately driven him crazy.

Kanye is an artist. He's never been cut out to be a celebrity. Whether that's an insult or a compliment is in the eye of the beholder. *waits for the 23-minute tirade from Kanye West on Fade.*
