Orioles do not expect to trade Machado this offseason Offers weren't to their liking The White Sox aren't strangers to surprising Christmas Eve deals, but yeah. This ain't happening. Hahn isn't going to get strong-armed into making a deal if it doesn't pass the smell test.

They got money and assets so don’t need to waste them

Latest on Pirates/Yankees trade
Package could be built around Chance Adams and Miguel Andujar
Yankees would get back Gerrit Cole and Josh Harrison
I'm not too crazy about that trade tho it makes sense to trade for veteran talent when you are all in and a 4 man rotation of Severino, Tanaka, Cole, Gray would be filthy and you still have Sabathia and Montgomery fighting for the 5th spot which would keep Chad Green in the bullpen

Adams and Andujar are good, not great prospects IMO. And you'd get back a starter with top end of the rotation potential, even if I think he's a bad fir for that park. And Harrison is a solid player himself with some ABs to fill at 3B and 2B.

Right it’s far from a bad trade and is actually a good trade when you add someone like Cole and make a strong rotation while Harrison can fill in a spot and Gleyber can take the other. I actually kind of like Chance Adams but the Yankees are so strong with arms he’s technically their number one pitching prospect so it wouldn’t kill them to make the trade Also to consider they still have Clint Frazier as potential trade piece but in my opinion he’s better than Jacoby and Hicks and should get a chance at competing for the CF Job.

Frazier should be the target for Pittsburgh. If Adams doesn't end up a starter, that trade could look really, really bad a couple years down the line. I'd take Shef over Adams long-term.

Agreed Shef as a lefty has a long shelf life. Yankees have been trying to offer a package of Adams and Frazier but it seems Pitt isn’t interested which baffles me. It’s crazy to think how many prospects the Yankees got even still after trading a few last year with Torres and Florial being untouchable.

I know he's an elite prospect, but I don't know a damn thing about him. Who is he comparable to? And yeah, they're loaded like the Cubs were a few years ago. Not all elite prospects, but unreal deep with pro caliber prospects.

At 20/21 his power isn’t all the way there but I think he can step in and hit at least 15-20 home runs b cause he has a “live” bet. I believe he was 20 last year and he was ready to get called up before his tommy John injury. If he slides in at 3B he will probably follow the same path of Manny Machado in regards to being a damn good defender and his doubles power will turn into home runs.

Doubles in that park are home runs. Torres is a righty and I don't think he has switch hitting potential. So even with that short porch, it's still opposite field for him. And that takes time for a hitter to develop unless you're a freak of nature like Aaron Judge. But he's still got a ton of potential to be a perennial all star at 2B or 3B.

That 318 to left ain't that hard to get out. It was more of a joke on how small the park is, but yes it is easier to "develop" power there.

Eh, the left foul pole is fairly shallow, but from left to center is pretty standard baseball field dimensions. It's the short porch in right field that's guilty of some "Yankee Stadium specials."

It makes a big difference with the juiced ball though. I've seen many doubles lately turn into HRs in that park the last few years, most recently Judge's HR against the Astros in the ALCS. Get decent wood on it to either field and it's got a 50/50 shot of going out.

That said, Fulmer is on the clock this year. He'd make a good bullpen guy, but as a starter I'm not seeing it.

Correct I think they can afford to part with someone like Giolito for a good bat but no f***ing way i'm giving up Kopech If they can sign someone and it makes sense then I can see them doing it I wouldn't be surprised if they were able to move Abreu and get someone like Hosmer for cheap White Sox is a team no one is talking about at the moment because their talent is in the minors but they are coming and I think they shouldn't be all in on Harper/Machado over the field. They should continue do their due dilligence because their time is coming soon

Giants/Reds still discussing a Billy Hamilton trade. I want this so bad. Can't former throw-in and washed out Giants AAAA level outfielder number 856 turned All-Star Adam Duvall count as credit towards a future trade? Is that how baseball works?

Giants make the most sense for him but they got to act sooner than later I guess they are waiting to see if they can get Jay Bruce and if they get him they can be more aggressive with their moves Still need to get some things done with pitching but the offseason been so slow the only teams really doing anything is the Phillies and Angels
