They say as a utility guy but I'm sure he'll be the starting second baseman.

Rosenthal tweet says the Brewers got Christian Yelich from the Marlins. Very nice move.

Now THAT's a trade Miami fans should be excited about. Brinson, Harrison, and Diaz are all fantastic gets. Yammamato also looks like a nice throw in. Scouting report reminds me of Seth Lugo (5th starter/long reliever with amazing curve spin.)
And of course, the Brewers finally get another big bat.

Brewers did pretty well, that OF of Yelich, Braun, and Santana is solid. I would be more worried as a Cards fan, but we already also got an All Star caliber OF from Miami. They really are the Santa Claus of MLB franchises, but I'd be irate right now if I was a season ticket holder. Cheap ass bait-n-switch Jeter.

I really wish the Giants had the prospect power to pull of the Yelich move. Or any move from the Marlins.

Brewers also sign Lorenzo Cain.
5/80
I'm right back to being thrilled the Giants avoided that bullet.

That Cain signing is kinda odd. Unless there’s another trade coming. And though it no doubt makes the division tougher, I appreciate the Brew Crew igniting the hot stove. Come to the north side, Yu.

They've been rumored since the beginning of the offseason to deal Domingo Santana for pitching. If that doesn't go, they'll salary dump Braun.

The Brewers are actually moving to get good players for once so that it's not just (mostly) Braun?!
WHO THE F*** KIDNAPPED THE OWNERSHIP AND HOW MANY FRUIT BASKETS SHOULD I SEND THEM?!

Been saying for a min the Brewers had the potential to make a big move I can see them capping this off and signing Darvish or Arrieta With these signings and trades they would hope to not end up like Padres from a few years ago or Miami in regards to instantly getting rid of everyone after 1 season

Weird to sign Cain, as their OF was now their strength. Good player, weird add.

Weird to sign Cain, as their OF was now their strength. Good player, weird add. Cain has the "championship pedigree" label going for him from his time in Kansas City so a team like Milwaukee would look to bring him in as a way to legitimize themselves and maybe Cain can spread his pedigree to others. I would assume that's the GM and owner thinking Same cold be said for Padres pursuit on Hosmer

But at the same time, you're probably either gonna bench Santana or get 60 cents on the dollar for him. Which is a waste of assets. But I guess since their end product is a Braun/Cain/Yelich OF, they won't care too much. Good adds for them with so many undisciplined bats in that order. They'll be much less free-swinging this year and they struck out a lot in very pivotal situations. These guys know how to take pitches, work the count, and get the ball in play.

They gained a lot and OF became much better with Cain and Yelich now in the fold However, they paid a little price to get Yelich Santana will more than likely be dealt for the low. Assuming they get Darvish or Arrieta, than I assume they juggle Santana out there for another pitcher to shore up the pen or rotation

Notable names on next years ballot: Mariano Rivera, Roy Halladay, Todd Helton, Andy Pettitte, Lance Berkman, Roy Oswalt. If Pettitte gets in, they need to strip the eligibility of all the voters. I'm serious, too

But I will say I am impressed with the Brewers spending some money and actually going all in this year. It's something the Pirates should have done after 2015 and instead are now rebuilding.

Brewers have shown if they think they are close than they will make an effort to go for it. They had great years with Prince/Braun combo and took a big leap when they acquired CC when he was a f***ing horse. I like what they are going and if they get an Ace it will make things interesting
